I aint been in this forum for a while...been kinda doin my thing privately...

Those who know me know i'm not just a character online, I'm graf writer and first and foremost an artist..

this was a drawing from 2003 in art class. the topic of the drawing was: "how you see yourself in 10 years"

I didnt finish it when i turned it in, it was just 'good enough'...I got a B on it.

Well it had sat in my house for years, unfinished. I'd look at it and realize that it had potential. well i said fuck it, buckled down and finished it up in 2007. took me about 2 weeks.

so here it is:

regular..

*angled (closer in)

I'm just glad to be done so i can work on new projects.
if you want to see more, add me on myspace.
If you need artwork done, holla.

Peace,

-Gas.

its bigger than 11x8...i think its 14x28...or a lil smaller.

its a pretty big picture, one of the bigger ball points ive done

materials: mostly black ball point pen, red ball point pen, charcoal pencil, 3 brown colored pencils, an orange and yellow and green colored pencil, dark blue pencil, blue highlighter, yellow highlighter..and a graphite pencil to dull the shine from the ball point pen..and thats it

thanks for the props yall i appreciate it..worked late night hours on this shit..

Love it, have you ever taken any classes? My main problem with drawing is like the human body and keeping stuff in proportion like when I use to draw, I'd be good but with one side hella small compared to the other.

yeah, i took quite a few art classes in community college and then went to a 4 year art college...

figure drawing and anatomy classes would help you with that..also a regular drawing class teaches proportion...so you learn to not make the legs too big or the arms too big in comparison...i think its been said that the body is 7 heads in length when drawing..

also you should buy one of those little stick men...theres like a wooden man on a metal stick and a stand...and you can pose it in ways that you might be drawing, so you can reference the body in that way..i use that sometimes..

but figure drawing classes are the best for that. i used to not be able to draw a female....because i didnt understand the anatomy difference. you should just pick up a cheap figure drawing class..it comes to you after a semester or so..

you do your best figure drawings when you dont look at the paper..you just look at the person and not the paper at all..its hard to do at first but after a while you look at your paper, and your like damn...it worked...you just gotta get your hand and your eye corrdinatd with eachother in a different way

I agree! Figure drawin classes help alot...once you understand anatomy you can draw figures without reference and be on point.

Sometimes tha body will be 7 1/2 heads tall....1 time we was drawin this chick and she was neither....there was sumthin wrong with her proportions. You know how tha leg is like divided into basically halves well her legs were like 3/4s.... our class and our teach was all trippin out off her like she was a freak or sumthin...LOL
