I feel you, but the fact that there are latinos' families lives that are affected by this bigotry isn't fair either. If there is really that many white people that think like you, then why do they let laws like this pass? My point is if it get's a simple minded as detaining someone just because of how they look, then I can see a race war starting one day if this shit continues. Obviously there are a lot of angry folks of color out there right now, including myself! My sons still have to deal with racist punk ass kids at school who learn it from their parents. It has became even worse since Obama was elected into office too. You know these white redneck parents are teaching their kids this bullshit!
I'm a not arguing the fact of becoming a legal citizen. I am saying U.S. Citizens have been harrassed in the past and this will make it even easier to harrass U.S. Citizens simply because of their ethinicity. I am not blanketing all whites, but when I talk to a caucasian in person for a few, I have a pretty good feel for what type of person they are.
SHEA i agree with you 100% on illegal immigration. It has to stop. It's not about not wanting mexicans or anyone else in this country, it's about our countries resources running out and not being able to accomadate these folks any more. I mean it has to stop sometime. We need need immigration reform. Bottom line.
The 11 million undocumented that are here already, we have to stop worrying about them. We catch them if we can, but they majority of them are now here, and they are here to stay. They built lives and families here. But they HAVE to wait in line like everyone else to get their papers and they have to learn our language. I dont think that a man in China has to wait longer to become a citizen because a man from Mexico walked in.
Like i said earlier, the problem i have with this law is not about the immigrants, its about the civil rights and human rights being violated and a large population will be affected unfairly.
What pisses me off are people who attack people and make it about race when its not about race, its about immigration reform , its about CORPORATE GREED and how all these big banks make it so that a spanish speaking only customer DOESNT HAVE to learn english. Why would they need to? Everything they could ever need has some sort a spanish speaking component to it to accomadate those people. Companies hire illegal immigrants to farm their lands and work their factories for so cheap and these people dont even know they're being exploited. But it's their fault that their hired? Immigrants dont come here to be homeless, they come here to work. and who's hiring them?? AMERICAN CITIZENS. That's what you have to look at. Don't blame the immigrants, blame the greedy business owners and corporations that want to make a quick buy by appealing to this demographic whethere it be jobs, or services.
So when someone like OG BLACK whatever the fuck says things like "get that dirty mexican out of here" it's obvious he has no fuckin clue what the fuck he's talking about and he needs to educate himself.
And yeah dude, thats why i said in my other post shot out to the white folks who go through the shit too cuz i know when it comes down to it, police harrassment is all about your class.
