IT WILL BE ASSISTING 714 IN THE FOLLOWING CITIES:
ANAHEIM, BREA, BUEANA PARK, COSTA MESA, CYPRESS, FOUNTAIN VALLEY,
FULLERTON, GARDEN GROVE, HUNTINGTON BEACH, LA HABRA, LA PALMA,
ORANGE, PLACENTIA, SANTA ANA, WESTMINSTER, & YORBA LINDA!!!

WHAT IS HAPPENING IS CALLED A "AREA CODE OVERLAY".

AN OVERLAY IS THE ADDITION OF ANOTHER AREA CODE TO THE SAME GEOGRAPHIC REGION AS AN EXISTING AREA CODE.
AN OVERLAY DOES NOT REQUIRE CUSTOMERS
TO CHANGE THEIR EXISTING AREA CODE!!!


SO I GUESS FOR NEW RESIDENTS, WHEN GIVEN A HOME #,
THEIR AREA CODE WILL BE THE NEW ONE!!!

When I was growing up, my area code was 415.

Then it was 510.

Then it was 925.

I lived in the same house when all of these things happened.

I have no sympathy for you!

BUENA PARK (CBS) ― A man identified himself as a police officer, tied up two workers in a movie theater office at the Buena Park Mall Monday and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

This happened at the Krikorian Premiere Theatres at 8290 La Palma Ave. at about 2:30 p.m.

Buena Park police Sgt. William Kohanek said the suspect displayed a gun and wore a white dress shirt with a tie and black slacks, along with sunglasses.

The man, who was described as 6 feet tall and thin, escaped in a newer, white four-door car, the sergeant said.

ahh the good old days...when everything was 213.

North American area code 213 is a California telephone area code which was one of the first three area codes created in California in October 1947. It originally contained all of Southern California and was generally associated with Los Angeles.

Over the years it has been subdivided a number of times and is now completely surrounded by the 323 area code, it contains only downtown Los Angeles and its immediate environs.
