what nelly didnt mention is that ICE-T dissing Solja Boy was not hating on the person but a serious criticism of the kids musical content which, as someone that changed the game, he has the right to do. and nelly is saying that because Ice-T is old he has no right to judge solja boy because solja boy is new hip-hop but Ice-T already GAVE props to plenty of other new artists (hurricane chris, TI, luda, etc) when he dissed solja boy.
bottom line ice-t represents a time period when hip-hop was about lyrics and the message you were trying to express and solja represents a time period where your content dont matter and niggas get signed to deals off myspace just so sell fuckin' ringtones. think about it.

What Ice failed to mention was that when he and the WC was coming out, they werent regarded as Hip Hop by the east...SB isnt trying to make music that Ice wants to listen to, nor does he has to...Music comes in all shapes and sizes....there is room for all types of music...if the radio only decides to play SB type s--t then its not SB's fault, its the media's fault...I dont listen to the radio anyway so I dont care...plus, SB's career came and went...no need to give a kid that will only be famous for a milla-sec that much credit for "killing hip hop"..people been saying hip hop was dead forever....even before SB came out..
