This may be old news to some, new news to others.
There are cameras on many side streets, alleyways and major streets in san diego where you may often walk or do your business.

They are not in plain view.

These cameras take 24 hour surveillance and its some poor souls job to note the amount of criminal activity within a specific area.

I post this pretty much because i want some of yall to stay safe. If you see an area thats noted to have alot of activity on this map, there are cameras there. chances are, these cameras are set up in someones window.

you *will* be videotaped there. be aware of that.

for instance:
http://apps.sandiego.gov/ewatch/map/webpub/eWatchMap.asp?mapid=2006102122438
(edit: link working now)

from what ive seen so far, theres a camera in the middle of utah street, one on meade and utah, illinois, mississippi, 4600 block of 30th street,on suncrest and ohio in el cajon/east dago.

If your area dosent have any crime statistics (for instance, market st.), im guessing thats a good thing: that area dosent have Ewatch cameras set up yet.

heres the FAQ: http://www.sandiego.gov/police/ewatch/faq.shtml

theres alot in the north park/el cajon/university area.

and if youre a fugitive or some shit at yo momma house dont be clickin' on san diego government police websites. dont say i didnt tell you so.

oh, and i just found out you have to "subscribe" to it to use it....

but you can use it by clicking on the first link, and putting in an address. itll only be up for 72 hours before you need to subscribe to use it. i might make a siccness account if someone wants it.

those arent the only areas they have it in (the ones i mentioned) of course..just the ones i know about...theres also one on the block i go to often that kinda made me make the post...because i wasnt aware..

but yeah el cajon/university in general is pretty prostitute oriented altogether.

i wouldnt doubt one popping up in national city or down in CV...especially if this works out for them..and maybe if we have intelligence on it, it wont..

These same cameras your talking about I seen on MSNBC a few monthz back. They got'em all over Baltimore. When I saw the impact of what those 24 hour survavillence cameraz I knew it would be just a matter of time until other cityz caught on & started using 'em. The hood iz about 2 get shut down.

as per jack dee's request...

i mentioned this in that thread...just so you know i wasnt kidding..this is still going on..

and i guess you can see how much crimes bieng detailed in certain areas of SD if youd like.

it used to be free.....you can literally type in addresses and see cameras and info on it

so yall be careful...keep it moving...and have a set plan when you comin and goin..this might have spread to many other areas by now for all i know..

Just imagine how long they've had that...? These politicians are using that whole 9/11 shit (which I believe was masterminded by the Bush Administration...) to have the entire country under surveilance... Im telling ya... when I get this bread... I'm moving to a 3rd world country and live it up like a King...
