This may be old news to some, new news to others.
There are cameras on many side streets, alleyways and major streets in san diego where you may often walk or do your business.
They are not in plain view.
These cameras take 24 hour surveillance and its some poor souls job to note the amount of criminal activity within a specific area.
I post this pretty much because i want some of yall to stay safe. If you see an area thats noted to have alot of activity on this map, there are cameras there. chances are, these cameras are set up in someones window.
you *will* be videotaped there. be aware of that.

(edit: link working now)
from what ive seen so far, theres a camera in the middle of utah street, one on meade and utah, illinois, mississippi, 4600 block of 30th street,on suncrest and ohio in el cajon/east dago.
If your area dosent have any crime statistics (for instance, market st.), im guessing thats a good thing: that area dosent have Ewatch cameras set up yet.
heres the FAQ: http://www.sandiego.gov/police/ewatch/faq.shtml
theres alot in the north park/el cajon/university area.
and if youre a fugitive or some shit at yo momma house dont be clickin' on san diego government police websites. dont say i didnt tell you so.
oh, and i just found out you have to "subscribe" to it to use it....
but you can use it by clicking on the first link, and putting in an address. itll only be up for 72 hours before you need to subscribe to use it. i might make a siccness account if someone wants it.
