I'm not as much into gaming as I used to be, but I have gotten into a few here and there. I'd like to start playing some new games for when I get bored. I used to really like the Might & Magic series. Specifically, Might & Magic 6, and Heroes of Might & Magic 3 were my favorites. I know these games are grossly outdated, but could you guys recommend me some modern games that compare? I like magic RPG's. Not interested in Warcraft. That game sucks the life out of people. Thanks.

There isn't many turned based games anymore like Might & Magic anymore, thats a thing of the past. I'd suggest downloading emulators that can play older games on the NES/PS1/GBA even the PS2 if you computer is good enough to run it. A game exactly like Might and Magic I think you would enjoy is Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder for the GBA..Oblivion is a safe bet also Two Worlds 2 is but they are not turned based..
If you have a PS2 try the Suikoden series (you get to play as over 100 characters lol) or this game http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romancing_saga
Maybe even ROTK 8/10 if you don't mind a massive turned based strategy war game

My to buy RPG list includes Magna Carta 2 and FFXIII. pretty much nothing else on the 360.
I own Star Ocean and Eternal Sonata. ...both those are okay.

Trinity Universe, Neptunia, Rorona, Disgaea 3 & 4, Resonance of Fate.
It's not an RPG, but you may enjoy Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

Naw its a shitty game...You can beat it within 10 hours or so and there isn't much replay value, the ending is also HORRIBLE..
I also highly recommend Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow for the GBA..its one of the best RPG's I ever played. I guess theres sequels to the game on the DS that are similar to AoS so I'll have to check those out...

FF XIII is simply "ok" in my book. The graphics are great, the battle system is unique, but the storyline is so convoluted that you'll often find yourself scratching your head. If you're looking for exploration and quests, this game is NOT for you. If you want to level up, grind for hours, max out your character stats and crystarium (or whatever the hell it was called I can't remember) then this game is for you.

i've never played any Might & Magic games, but Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes just came out on ps3 & xbox.
i guess its a puzzle/rpg game. ign gave it a 9/10.
