I don't know if this question has already been posed but I have been away for like five years... Anyway I have been listening to bay area rap almost exclusively since the eighties but I live in tampa now

What I want to know is I almost don't want the bay to blow up. I don't want to see it go mainstream and put in the same catergory with alot of rappers that will probably only be "hot" for two or three years in the eyes of the mainstream. Chewed up and spit out. Is that wrong or a form of hatin'?
