need help

i just came up on this m audio fast track pro,for like 35$ at a pawnshop..it plays the sound good,but when it comes down to record its only recording the beat itself no vocals nothing..ive unplugged everything and left only the usb plugged in..and still records only the beat..im using cool edit pro if anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it

those interfaces are no good i had one and they were always a problem just get an iterface worth using .....you pay 4 what you get

just get the protools budle at guitar center comes with the mbox2 , cant go wrong there loco ,

also the m audio has a switch for powered(condenser) and unpowered(regular) mics. so switch it if you need too. i read that here.

i got rid of it last week..didnt wanna fuck with the hassle ill get another different interface later on..for now ill use my old setup the way ive been doing it..
