My boy just got Digi001 and MidiMan to run his Fantom through. Does anybody know how to make either MidiMan or Digi001 recognize the signal from the Fantom? We were up all night, and could not get the signal to go through. If anybody knows what the hell is wrong, please let me know.

Thanks

You check your global setting on tha Fantom?(itz a Roland Keyboard Workstation). The Global Mode should be set to off

and have you set up OMS? (if yer workin' on a MAC, I don't know shit about hookin' up to PC's)

workin on a Mac with OS 9.1. Is there a certain way OMS needs to be set up? We did that, but it doesn't read the Fantom. I gotta tell my boy to switch the Global Setting....anything else I should know about OMS setup?

I used to use Pro Tools Free, and ther was this one setting that I couldn't believe I missed. on the MIDI pull down menu, Select Input Filter, that should be set to Sysex. .Then go to Input Device under the same Pull down menu, and select the MIDI Interface and the MIDI device which you want to use. Then on the same Pull down menu make sure MIDI thru is selected. Hope this helps some
