Ive got problem with my pro tools 7 with my Digi002, everytime i try to record, or playback, or bounce, it stops and says to try to increase or decrease the buffer size in the playback engin, try it over and over....doesnt make a difference, it does it to sessions with ZERO plug-ins inserted, and i ahve a PC, plenty of memory, i even deleted some files, and its a 2.20 GHz processor, digi wont help cuz its past its registration, and their Q&A on there page doesnt have my problem on it, i dont know whast the prob. is, i dont know if i should just get the new Digi003.
Need more info on this one. We don't know if you are running an amd or intel chipset and we don't even know if it is dual core. These things come into play with pro tools 7, and we also don't know if it is a laptop or desktop.
Also, we don't know if you are recording to the internal hd or an external one. What I suggest you do is lower the buffer size in the playback engine and trash/delete everything in the DAE preferences folder.
If that does not work try this:
1. Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Manage."
2. In the left-hand column, select the Device Manager." Click on the "+" next to "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers." You should see three types: Primary IDE Channel, Secondary IDE Channel, and a third type. There will be three type entries for each internal mounted hard drive.
3. If this third type is "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller," your errors are due to something else. If the third type is anything else, right-click on it and select "Update Driver..."
4. If Windows wants to connect automatically, choose "No, not this time."
5. When you get to the Hardware Update Wizard, select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)." Click "Next."
6. Choose "Don't search. I will..." and click "Next."
7. Highlight the "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" and click "Next" then "Finish" then "Yes."
Try that and if it doesn't work post up the computer specs (INCLUDING THE TYPE OF CHIP SET.)
