OK FIRST LET ME START OFF BY SAYIN..I DONT KNOW SHIT ABOUT HOW TO PRODUCE..I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE COOL EDIT PRO OR ANY OF THAT SHIT..I JUST RAP

WELL MY HOMIE IS IN THE BEGINNING STAGES OF BUILDIN A STUDIO..WICH MEANS..HE GOT A COMP..A MIC..AND COOL EDIT PRO...SO HE CALLS ME TO LAY A VERSE ON SOME TRACK HE IS MAKING..SO I GO TO HIS PAD...AND HE HAS SOMEWHAT OF AN IDEA OF WHAT HES DOIN..HE HAS A VERSE AND THE CHORUS MADE...SO WHAT WE TRY TO DO IS RECORD MY VERSE AND MIX IT INTO THE SONG..I KNOCK MY VERSE OUT..PERFECTLY ON BEAT..BUT WHEN HE PLAY IT BACK FOR SOME FUCKIN REASON THE PROGRAM GOT MY VOCALS AHEAD OF THE BEAT..LIKE IT STARTS OFF PRETTY MUCH ON POINT BUT AS THE VERSE GOES ON..THE SHIT JUST FALLS OFF BEAT...NOW HIS VERSE AND CHORUS ARE ALL GOOD..BUT WE COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHTY IT WASNT KEEPIN MY VOCALS ON POINT..IF ANYBODY HAS ANY CLUE WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW CUZ WE DESPERATELY LOOKIN TO FIX THIS PROBLEM..THANKS IN ADVANCE

His computer is probably too slow and its creating latency, he probably needs to get a ram upgrade and maybe a larger hard drive. Audio streams into a computer at like 50+ megabytes a minute or so depending on your sample rate and bit resolution CD quality is 16 bits at 44.1khz but some who want better dynamic range will go 24bits at 88.2khz and even more. I don't know about cool edit but pro tools has a latency compensation system used mostly when using alot of plugins which also creates latency cool edit probably has something like that too.

Tell your boy he need to upgrade to Adobe Audition 1.5 (formerly Cool Edit Pro). It will resolve a lot of issues for you. and a lot more features are included that are not in Cool Edit.

Yeah, I upgraded to Adobe and it did come with better features, the burn session feature was definately an improvement.
