Would Bulls trade No.1 pick for Wade?

Dwyane Wade says he keeps hearing his name mentioned in trade rumors involving the Bulls and Miami Heat. Would the Bulls give up the No. 1 draft position to the Heat in exchange for Wade and the No. 2 overall selection? Or some combination of other players and picks?

"I have heard my name being talked about, and I can't worry about it," Wade said Monday at the Attack Athletics training facility on the West Side. "There is one thing in this league that you have no control over. If another organization wants you, then you should feel good to be wanted."

Wade grew up idolizing Michael Jordan while starring at Richards High School and then Marquette.

"I have a lot of history with the Bulls," Wade said. "And for them to come out with the first pick like that (with a 1.7 percent lottery chance) ... it was fitting that they would do something like that. Nobody thought that would happen. To be in that position and sit back and listen to anything and go back to a team and say: 'How about this? and 'How about that?' ... If [the Bulls] don't make any big moves like that, they're still going to have a great player."

Memphis guard Derrick Rose and Kansas State forward Michael Beasley are expected to go 1-2 in the draft.

I don't see Miami goin for it unless they think Wade is gonna be dealing with injuries for the rest of his career. There's always trade rumors for the #1 pick and (insert star player here) every year around this time.

That's not that far fetched though. At that high level in the team organization it's about basic decision making and design decisions. It can easily be rationalized by whoever has the final say that it makes just as much (or more) sense to start rebuilding now, as it does to keep a potentially injury prone superstar player.

*shrugs*

Wade will come out on fire next year for whoever he plays for....Coming off an injury pleuged season, and losing all those games he's ready....Who is chicago rumored to take? Cause if its not beasley, Miami would be stupid to do that, especially if they dont get any players in return...Miami with Wade, Marion and beasley would be crazy....

Why do chicago sports fans constantly start rumors like this?

They assume cuz someone is from Chicago for some strange reason they'd want to come back to help one of their town's sorry ass franchises. Too much saaasage on the brain.

I was kinda glad when MN traded KG to Boston, because EVERY SINGLE YEAR he was in MN ever since his rookie season, there was rumors that the Bulls were going to trade for him.
I got sick of hearing about that shit.

^^^Memphis probably could have gotten a better deal for Gasol, but it wasn't horrible. They got a lot of money off the books and some young prospects and 1st round picks. That said, Riley is not known for making bad trades. Shit, he got a title out of the Shaq deal and once Shaq has nothin left, he got Marion right in the meat of his prime. There is absolutely no way they give up Wade AND #2 for #1. First of all it won't work salary wise, and 2nd, there is nobody on the Bulls worth Wade, injury prone or otherwise.

Exactly!!

Happened with the Bears rumors when Turner was available in free agency. He's from Chicago and lived in San Diego for years and now he'd want to come back - just cuz he lived there at some time in the past?
