I just rented this game and I gatta say it sucks balls! They make it so hard to dunk in this game, the camra views R' really fucked up. and the ball control while on offence is hard to get used to. I shoulda rented NBA2k7 or the other one "the show" i think its called. Does anyone know what the best B'Ball game is the best on the PS2?

EA Sports should have taken the MLB License instead of the Basketball License, they've recycled to much of their NBA games in the last 4 years.

it aint that hard to dunk in the game....just get around the defender an shits easy


personally the 2k series has hella fallen off....i use to swear by it


now all i play is live an other EA shit.....i tired playin NHL 2k7 an i hate it.....the graphics are all fake an animated.....while NHL 07 has some clean ass visuals.....i always bring that shit with me on the PSP

shit am i the only one who thinks it sucks now ? dont get me wrong.....i use to LOVE the 2k series.....like up to 2k2 with iverson on the cover


that series has went downward.....an live has went UP



i knows theres some yall on here who agree....right ?

You got people who like Sim Basketball Games and you have people who like Arcadey Basketball games.

2K7 falls under the Sim category and Live falls under the Arcadey category. Looks like we have more Sim people on this board than Arcadey people.

That should explain it.

IMO

2K has only made very subtle changes in the past couple of years, and I appreciate them not really doing any extreme changes...like the old saying goes...

' If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it '

Like Peete already said, if you're into a faster paced more arcade style of basketball, then Live is the best way to go.

If you're into real simulation type basketball, at a much slower pace...then 2K is the way to go...

I just wish they could make a 3 Point Contest and Dunk Contest in 2K ...that would just be icing on the cake though....the game is great...I love the way you can manuever down low in the post...

all yall that say this game sucks is cuz yall are hella weak and dont know how to play that shit. i know this game got bad reviews, but come on now. yall complaining about it being hard to dunk and shoot 3's. yall just must be hella weak at this game. it do take some time to get used to tho, but overall the game is still crackin

basketball video games went out the window for me.. i got 2k6 it was aright, basketball games is jus all the same repetitive shit to me tho, back n forth yay for this i won wheres the confetti type a shit. jus aint fun for me... they should re-do arch rivals for next gen graphics an shit that'd be fresh

Nah, live just sucks. It looks hella blocky and cartoony, the movement is hella jerkyand not smooth at all, the controls is garbage, the shooting mechanics is garbage, they been copycattin shit from 2k since they came out (the camera angle and dynasty mode for instance). All live got is better music and the all star weekend shit. 2k7 looks better, plays better, is more in depth, is more like basketball, and is about 20 bucks cheaper.
