that freestyle wasnt great, but you on one hollerin nas and jay-z washed up. yea dipset coo and all too, but nas and jay-z will shit on anything they put out. treal talk.

I'm pretty sure his first album did not sell 12mill. Even Pac's ALL EYEZ ON ME sold 11 mill and is one of hip hop's top selling albums of all time. Illmatic did not do those numbers, especially that it came out in the early 90's when rap wasn't selling nearly as much. Even Jay's Reasonable Doubt only went like 2x platinum. So maybe you misheard...

ON RAPCITY NOWADAYS THEY WILL HAVE A SMALL INFO SCREEN ABOUT THE ARTIST GETTIN INTERVIEWED WHICH AT THE TIME WAS NAS AND IT DID SAY THAT ILLMATIC SOLD 12MILL... I KNOW IT DIDN'T SELL THAT MUCH BUT I FIGURED IT WAS A MISTAKE ON BET'S PART. LIKE BIG HOMIE SAID ABOVE PROLLY 12MILL IN TOTAL

Illmatic went gold, didn't even reached platinum until it was rereleased in 2004

Dipset is the best out of NY now, admit it

it's not that they're the best MCs ever but they're young ans fresh and they make good tracks and that's what counts

the truth is that Nas & Jay-Z are washed up
