Im still soaking this cd in. It's not Nas' best but it's not weak.
The songs I think are dope are: The First Song(forgot the name), Carry on Tradition, Black Republican, The one with the Unforgettable sample-track #14, The song with Game, the acappella verse at the end. Oh yah i forgot about still dreaming that song is sick i was listening to that song this morning. it's a good morning song for some reason that beat kanye did is hot. The one with snoop is hot too i just forgot about it. The guy below reminded me of some songs i forgot.

Some songs are a little boring to me. I can't get into the Hip Hop is Dead song just not feeling the beat, Not Going Back is just too boring for me.

So far I give the album like 6.5 out of 10 maybe 7 out of 10.

You know what's interesting is that on the track Carry on Tradition there's a mistake on there. But Nas left it and I know he heard the mistake but didn't fix it. Im curious why. I have a feeling he did it in 1 take and thought the mistake wasn't worth fixing or was making some sort of point. He pauses for like half a bar in the middle of his first verse is what Im talking about.

I DISAGREE. I THINK IT WAS JUST A FAILED CONCEPT SONG.

I DON'T THINK IT WAS A MISTAKE. I THINK THE LABEL CENSORED SOMETHING HE SAID OUT.

That makes sense but why wouldn't Nas say something else during the pause.
Like when song lyrics get changed to make it radio friendly.
