What size does the container have to be? An what size does the background have to be cause i have made few layouts and everybody says they cant see the whole background but i can see everything on my screen. What am i doin wrong? Thanks in advance..

not everyone has the same scren size as u (resolution) so you have to make sure that people with smaller resolutions see the page as well. i got a 1680x1050 but i make it for smaller monitors so that they can see it as well

What size would you suggest. Right now I'm making em 1600x800

then do that, make a new canvas in photoshop and for width put 800 pixels, and the height of your screens rolution.

sincei have a 1920 by 1200 pixel res. i start a canvas with 800 pixels by 1200 with a white background, then i go to image>canvas size and increase from 800 to 1920.

1680x1050 for a background, this maks sure that the background doesn't start to tile over on largr displays. I use it and it works for everything on the big 24 inch macs to widescreen laptops down to 1024x768 res displays.

not to many 15 laptops got that resolution. i got it tho but its not that common. mostly on 17 and up.

but 1680*1050 is the size to go with.. i use that on all my layouts

my background worked on most computers except laptop moniters, i read this thread and changed the size but now appears too big on my pc at home

is there a code to force it to resize to fit screen or anything?

nah u cant make it adjust to a screen. u make the back one size and thats it. so people with smaller screen resolutions will only see that much and larger will see it all. then u put a background color for those that got resolutions larger then 1680.

whats going on everyone, i been messing around here and there on a myspace layout. i think i got the sizes rite and all i been watching alot on youtube but where im stuck at is, how do i put it on my myspace is there codes i need? i tryd pimp my profile myspace editor n nothin came out how id like it nothing really sized up. if anyone could help when they got a minute. thanks
