Ok I dont know if this has been discussed before but seriously, what are your thoughts on myspace rappers??? To me there's just awfully too many of them...... Are you guys feelin any of these newbies or are they just seriously saturating the rap game & makin it worse??? Me, about 99% of every add is a myspace artist or a rapper & I just dont pay attention to any of their stuff cuz Ive long been tired hearin the same ol shit over & over & over again...
Songs for the ladies, clubs, mixtapes, mp3 downloads, promos, but no official projects/accomplishments like actual albums, serious grinding, establishing their name... smh...
I just ignore all of them...
Any of you guys feel the same way too; are they getting on your nerves???

when myspace first started up... there was a bunch of bullshit and still are. But i know there are alot of good talent out there with out an outlet, so they post it on myspace.

music speaks for itself, so if someone is spittin heat, regardless of the quality, people will see there is more to the artist.

that's how i feel. myspace has made alot of shit possible ON THE REAL. I connected hella people

Music always speaks for its self. remember numbers dont lie men and women do. so the ones with the fanbase and support on there are the real ones dont matter if you signed or not.

im sorry but if your a rapper and have a myspace page you are not legit with under 6,000 friends and less and under 1000(real comments/feedback on you or your music) thats just not cutting it and looks bad.

*Im bout to offend a few heads on here with my comment below but i dont care.*

The thing on myspace Im tired of is all the white inspiring rappers theres way tooo many. That 8 mile shit is played out go do some rock or country music honestly some muthafuckas need to give it bc they ass and gets no support and def not gonna be the next vanilla ice or eminem or paul wall. If you havent lived the urban life then dont rap about it, and theres no need to be saying NIGGA in your raps,.

Theres some muthafuckas on there that was riding John Deer lawnmowers on soem redneck shit and rocking a hollister/hillfiger shirt last year and now all sudden they throw on some south pole or ed hardy t shirt with some fake ass bang bang jewerly from that arabian kiosk at the local mall talking bout trapping and robbing.

Just my thoughts but i can careless about this thread bc non of them affecting me I stay in my lane and do my thang.

Damn

1. So people are supposed to just post their music and have 6k friends instantly? You gotta give people a chance. There are always new people coming out, new people testing the waters, they all dont start off 'famous'.

2. Maybe some people just do it for fun/on the side and don't give a fuk about trying to be seen and get famous.

3. lol at the "too many white rappers". smh. and theres too many black golfers. stick to basketball or football.

edit: and no, i dont rap or do anything music related except listen to it. I have also never looked through random people's/rappers myspace so it makes no difference to me either way, I dont even have a myspace. If i hear them on a feature i might go check them out, but thats it.

Thats why you gotta grind your ass off bc that shit dont come to you(bcs theres a million rappers waiting in the wangs thats willing to do whatever it takes to get a spot)). Hard work pays off and the muthafucka really busting they ass marketing tehmselves and promoting shit builds up fast.

Abnd thats whats fucking it up for the real cats thats trying to get in.(thats what the whole thread is based on)

I agree, then again remember it takes natural skills to make it in the nfl, nba, pga while on myspace basically anyone with a rinky dink mic and computer can make a song rather if they skilled or not

I guess since I dont use myspace I dont really follow, but I just dont see how people fukin around, or actually trying hard but just bein really shitty affects anything that good artists do. So i guess thats my question. How does having more shitty artists negatively affect the people serious about this?

Bc actual Listeners or music supporters get swamped with hundreds of request(just like the thread starter said) and some rappers are cocky as fuck and dont have the skills to back they overconfidence up and after a while the average person is gonna get disgusted and isnt gonna listen to everybody especially if the last 20 wasnt good or up to they standards and one of the ones slepted on could actually be good but was over looked.

see where im coming from.

Yea man, i think i get where you're comin from. I can see how it makes it more difficult.

lol. im too ignorant on myspace to be debating this haha. But overall, i guess i just feel like its not a music website so you cant be pissed about people putting up all types of shit.

gotta agree on dat one, and also tons more mexican "gangsta rappers" who are only 15 n shit ha.

but i feel yall on everythings dat been said, from the fact that there are 2 many bullshit artists calling themselves "(enter state name here)'s best kept secret"....etc n they always bullshit.

But Myspace is a great promotial tool 4 an artist tryin 2 come up especially if they dont have many other outlets.

For example, in da city where im from, Wenatchee WA, there's practically been no Hip Hop scene at all. sure there's people dat listen 2 it but no one was really doin anything 2 build a scene here. Wen we started out 5 years ago our goal was 2 create a scene n build our brand up so we created a myspace n from that showcased our skills n started 2 book shows. Now thanks 2 myspace we've done opened up for dj mr mixx of 2livecrew tech n9ne n done a track wit lucky luciano from h town.

all which would have bin way harder 2 accomplish without myspace/youtube internet in general.

jus weed out all da shitty rappers on myspace cuz they'll b plenty more coming everyday sadly.

check us out by da way, gotta promote ha!

maaaaan...myspace is like any other website that you network on...if you jus puttin shit up that cant be copped...then your wasting your time...but if you use it the right way it has the capability to make you famous...i mean you might ignore it but there are people out there lookin for talent off of there everyday...i say anythin you can use to get your music out use it...its there for you to use so why not put shit up there...i use it but at the same time i have projects comin out so i see why people would take either side...and if thats the case, the saturating thing, then you shoulda been posted this when they found souljia boy off of there...lol but i do see where you comin from....holla

I dont care for myspace, but I can see it as a promotional tool to get more connections. IF they jus startin off myspace as a base I think the same, jus trash on the net. I rather listen to mixtapes someone whos actually pushin they shit than couple songs thinkin they got skills..
