Myspace Music Chart Formula Question

I have been wondering for the longest time if anyone knows the formula used for the music charts on myspace. I thought it went off of solely plays, but as I am seeing more and more people buying plays and not even getting on the charts (that makes me laugh) I am wondering what all factors go into the ranking formula.

Friends count, profile views, actual plays???

Does anyone know how they determine the ranks?

im like the only real beatmaker in my town & sometimes i end up like 25th place

Yea me and a few others have been trying to figure out the logic forever, but there is always some bullshit profile that destroys whatever theory I come up with.

Id guess its an algorithm that combines page views, friend count, and plays

It's crazy cause I've seen days when my dude 3rd has like 300 plays and I goto the charts and there's cats with like 20 plays ahead of him...lol
