I'm a pretty tough critic when it comes to a lot of things- music being one of them.. I dont believe in tellin' someone their shit is FIRE when its not but I do give props when someone brings it to the table...

These are my thoughts on Juice "THE SUNRISE"... :)

CHASIN’ DREAMZ-
I really liked the faster delivery, fits Juice much better than I ever thought it would.. great way to start off the album, its my favorite solo Juice track on the record.

ON THE ROAD-
Besides the fact that this song has Beesh and Bullet on it…lol.. this is one of my favorite tracks.. when I heard this song for the first time months ago my favorite part about it was Jazz on the hook- its perfection… Todd G stops in with a lil insight as to who Todd G really is.. but I wasn’t really feelin’ Juice’s verse on this song- to me the delivery was off and it didn’t fit the vibe with the 3 verses before his.. (and I know WHY Bullet’s verse says Texas T, but it shouldn’t be there)

SEXY MAMACITA-
This song reminds me so much of Texas T I was like “whoa, hold up”.. I listened to Juice’s first verse like three times in a row and the similarities were a trip, both delivery and lyrics- but anyway-- Jazz singin’ the hook in Spanish left me speechless when I heard it the first time (which was live, onstage) and it’s great and adds a lot to the overall song.

BITCHEZ AINT SHIT-
“…she means nothin’ to me unless she’s bringin’ money back to me..” –Again, Jazz kills it on the hook.. People may be surprised but this is my favorite Bullet verse on the album, probably one of my favorites period.. but you have to know Bullet and know me.. stems from way back. Assassin, Bullet and Juice all do their thing on this track.. one of my favorites.

IF U WANNA-
Yuns on the production adds flavor to this track… a cool track but nothing outstanding to me..

CHASIN’ THE RAIN-
This is a slower paced track, again it was cool with Jazz on the hook but not one of my favorites on the album..

LAST NIGHT-
I didn’t realize this song was on here so it was a surprise… this track features Frost, JayTee (N2Deep) and Bullet... I can say that this is definitely not one of my favorite Bullet verses and Juice’s verse was way off on this track in regards to content, far from pimpin’…

IT AINT OVER-
Bullet’s verse says a lot on this track "..get in touch with me and love a pioneer, I aint goin’ no where, I’m dyin’ here (dyin’ here)“, Hypnotik makes an appearance and its my favorite verse of his that I’ve heard so far, Yuns never disappoints and definitely spit some real shit, a new addition from Kay Kay was good to hear- lyrically on point.. Juice wraps up this track in a nice way- I can really appreciate Eastside Riderz Pt.3… definitely a classic track in my eyes.

WAR CALL-
I just couldn’t get into this track at all.. the hook was definitely not to my taste and I’ll probably skip this track from here on out.. this one falls to the bottom of the pile for me.

NORTHWEST 2 THE BAY-
This song was ok, gives you a good feel of who Juice is as well as his partnas (4 Young Ridaz).. Assassin on the production. A lot more could have been done with this track to make it live up to its title but it falls short to me.

THE SUNRISE-
The first time I heard this song was when Juice performed it live.. its giving you some insight on the what the album is about, a cool track.. I think Juice could have made this track a lot hotter seeing how it’s the title track on the album.

AM I BOUND FOR DEATH?-
This song was ... different and I had to listen to it a couple times but I still don’t know what to think about it, its ok.. Yuns contributes to this track but it just doesn’t jump out at me or say as much as I thought it would.

THANK U MAMA-
This is a real touching track, dedicated to Juice’s mother… if you know Juice at all this track is really fitting and I can tell it means a lot to him to put his feelings for his mother on record… Juice shines thru on this one..

SEXY MAMACITA (re-mix)-
All I can is OH BOY! Jazz on a Spanish hook is crazy… Yuns starts off the re-mix and changes the whole vibe of this track, his verse as well as the production is somethin’ to make you sit up and take notice.. Bullet comes next and I swear all I could do was smile and shake my head.. Juice wraps up the track, making the song in my top three of the album..
