This is a very good album from Equipto, overall I think it's his best to date. Go get this album, tight hip-hop rhymes with slappin beats on this album.
Equipto - Cigarillos
1) "No Game"
Equipto's latest solo release kicks off on the right foot with this track. Nick Peace handles the production and lays down a tight ass beat to get things started. Equipto brings the heat on the mic reppin the Bay Area and spittin that perfect hip-hop style on the microphone. This is one of my favorite songs on the album, I'm feeling it to the fullest.
2) "Ain't No Tellin'" ft. Son of Man, Mike Marshall
This is my favorite track on the album. The beat done by T.H.E. Menace of Q-York Ent. is fucking tight as fuck! It has that laid back type of feel where you just want to kick back and chill, yet you can still get your head moving to it. Son of Man has the first short verse to kick off the song, I'm not feeling him as much as Quipto, but he spits a coo verse. Equipto comes tight on his verses talking about just chillin. Mike Marshall handles the hook perfectly like he always does. This could definately be a good radio song if pushed correctly. I'm feeling it to the fullest.
3) "Here to There" ft. San Quinn
This is probably my second favorite song on the album. Justin Weis does the production for this one, laying down a tight beat. Quipto and Quinn trade off verses talking about all the places they have played shows at. They rep just about every town in the whole world pretty much. This is a tight song, I'm feeling it to the fullest.
4) "Bet Back"
Back to another solid Nick Peace produced track. Equipto talks about hitting up the casinos and betting on anything and everything. There's nothing really more to this song, the hook is ok, but nothing special. It's still a tight track though, Quipto just talking about making bets and gambling.
5) "Blew Cry" ft. Mike Marshall
A slower more laid back beat done by Nick Peace for this song. Equipt just talks about living his life. Mike Marshall does the background vocals on the hook nicely, I don't like his slow here as much as the other track he's on, but it's cool. A nice little change of pace from the first four tracks. Not my favorite song, but I like it.
6) "Combo" ft. The Grouch, DJ Pause
Back to another fast paced hard beat, this time done by Tone Capone. The Grouch and Equipto come hard on the mic for this song. They trade of verses nicely. Just some solid hip-hop flows from Equipto and The Grouhc, I'm feeling it.
7) "Hip Hop Iz" ft. Teeko of 4onefunk (turntables)
Godchild of Family Ties does the beat for this song, a solid beat overall. Equipto talks about what hip-hop is. Teeko just does some scratching on the hook. I like Quipto's flow on this song, he just talks about hip-hop, from making it big to surviving in the game. A good song overall, it gets your head moving.
8) "Bounce" ft. DJ Pause
Back to another Nick Peace beat right here, solid, but not my favorite beat from him on the album. A fast ass flow from Equipto on this song. Equipto comes fast on the mic and spits some tight lyrics, can't really say more about it. A solid song overall.
9) "Maria" (instrumental)
A Nick Peace instrumental song. A slow paced beat with plenty of background instruments to go around. A woman does some talking in what sounds like Russian in the background. Not my favorite instrumental I've heard from Nick Peace.
10) "That Pt. 2" ft. Andre Nickatina
Equipto and Brucey collab on the beat for this song, a bit of a slow paced production with a solid bass line. This is a bit of a remix to the song off of the Nickatina and Equipto collab album. Nickatina and Equipto come solid on the mic each spitting a couple verses. A solid song overall, I like it just as much as the original.
11) "Life on the Freeway" ft. First Degree The D.E.
First Degree does the production for this song and lays down an interesting beat, but solid though. Quipto and The D.E. come tight on this song, Equipto doing the verses and D.E. handling the hook to the song. They talk about living that fast life on the freeway. A tight song overall, I'm feeling it.
12) "Fire"
This is pretty much the first and only beat that I'm not feeling. Nick Peace does the beat for this song. Equipto comes alright on the mic though and makes a song out of it. I don't like the hook though. The verses should have stayed, everything needed to be changed up.
13) "Wake Up" ft. Rudeboy, Shag Nasty, Son of Man
Sweet Geez lays down a laid back beat for this song. Equipto starts it off with a solid verse. I'm not feeling the second verse done by Rudeboy. Shag Nasty spits a good third verse though. Son of Man has a better verse than on the other song he was featured on. No hook really, but I like the verses besides Rudeboy. A solid song, the more I hear the more I like it.
14) "Foot in the Ride" ft. Smoov-E
Nick Peace does the production for this song, not his best beat on the album, but it's better than his last one. I like Equipto on the mic for this song, but the more I hear Smoov-E the more I don't like this song. A decent song at best, not really feeling it for the most part though.
15) "Wishes (remix)" ft. Andre Nickatina
Nick Peace and Justin Weis handle the remix of this song. Nickatina and Equipto trade off verses nicely and both spit good flows on the mic. I like the background guitar work by Justin Weis. This is a pretty good song song finish the album with.

Overall this may have been Equipto's best album yet. The production from a number of producers inlcuding Nick Peace, Tone Capone, Justin Weis and others was very good on nearly every track. The features were pefect except for one. Equipto comes tight on nearly every song. He raps about a bunch of different topics. This was a very well put together album, they even have some edited versions at the end of the album. I can't really say much more about this album, Equipto's best so far, I hope to continue to hear tight albums like this from him in the future. Go get this CD you won't regret it.
