Cool Nutz Presents - Collabos

1) "Rude Boyz" (remix) Cool Nutz & Maniac Lok ft. BG
A tight beat to get this album started with by Bosko. This album is a collection of songs done by Jus Family Records over the years, more of a best of album. Cool Nutz, Maniac Lok and BG come solid on this song. I'm feeling Maniac Lok the most of the three on this one, but both the other two come tight. A solid start to this album.

2) "Done Deal" Maniac Lok ft. B-Legit, G-Ism
This is one of my favorite songs on the album. Bosko laces this song up with a tight ass beat to get things started. B-Legit starts it off on the mic with a good verse. Maniac Lok has a tight verse and G-Ism comes tight with their verses. They talk about getting together and making this a done deal. A tight ass song overall, I'm feeling it to the fullest.

3) "Be Advised" Cool Nutz ft. Jay Tee of N2Deep, Bullet, Arjay
Philly Blunt lays down a tight slower paced beat for this song. Jay Tee starts it off on the mic with a coo verse, not his best work. Bullet comes next and spits a solid verse. Cool Nutz comes last and comes with the best verse of the three. Arjay handles the singing on the hook with his R&B voice. I'm feeling this song a lot, I like the slower pace to it, nice mix of R&B vocals and sound with a rap/gangsta sound on the verses.

4) "Behind the Scenes" Cool Nutz ft. Yukmouth, Poppa LQ, Jiboh
Bosko lays down another knoccin beat for this song. Yukmouth comes with the first verse, I like the verse he spits, but he sounds terrible on the chorus. Poppa LQ comes tight on his verse too. Cool Nutz spits a solid verse too. Cool Nutz comes tight too, the only thing I don't like about this song is the hook, besides that it's a tight song.

5) "Thug Shit" Maniac Lok ft. 3x Krazy, Ray Ray of G-Ism
Bosko brings another tight beat for this song, more of a gangsta feel to this one. Ray Ray, Maniac Lok and Agerman, B.A. and Keak Da Sneak come tight on their short verses. The hook could have used some work, but the verses are tight as fuck and all five rappers bring the heat. A good song overall, I'm feeling it.

6) "City Life" G-Ism ft. Spice 1, Cool Nutz, Bosko
A bit of a slower paced beat by Bosko for this song. Spice 1 starts it off with a coo verse. I like the talk box on the hook done by Bosko. G-Ism comes tight with their verses, and Cool Nutz comes with a tight verse too. A solid song, I'm feeling it.

7) "Shiesty Cats" DBA ft. Kurupt, WC
A tight ass beat by Bosko that gets your head moving. Doing Business As... comes tight on this song. Kurupt and WC bring the heat too. I like WC's verse the most. The beat is really my favorite part of the song though, it gets your head moving. I'm feeling this song to the fullest.

8) "No Parts" Cool Nutz ft. C-Bo, Yukmouth
Bosko again comes with a tight ass beat, this one sounding more gangsta than the rest. Cool Nutz starts this one off with a tight ass verse. C-Bo and Yukmouth bring the heat on there verses too. This song is tight as fuck, C-Bo, Yukmouth and Cool Nutz together with a Bosko beat sounds perfect, probably my favorite song on the album, I'm feeling it to the fullest.

9) "How We Build" Maniac Lok ft. Potluck, Brotha Luv, Cool Nutz
UnderRated does the beat for this song, but I'm not feeling it as much as the beats done by Bosko. I like the hook to this song a lot though, it might have sounded a lot better with a different beat. The rappers do come tight though, Maniac Lok, Potluck and Brotha Luv come with a solid verse each as Cool Nutz handles the hook nicely.

10) "Behind the Scenes" (remix) Maniac Lok ft. Yukmouth, Bosko, Cool Nutz
Bosko laces up this remix of track four, I like the original beat more, but this one bangs too, it just has a different feel to the song. There are a couple different verses, this time by Maniac Lok and Bosko. In some ways I like it better than the original, but both versions of the song are tight.

11) "One Time" Bosko ft. Gonzoe, Poppa LQ
Bosko does the beat for this song, it has a nice feel to it, but I'm not feeling nearly as the other Bosko beats on this album. Gonzoe and Poppa LQ come with some solid mic work. I like Bosko's verse too. A decent song, not really feeling it compared to the rest of the album.

12) "Pirahnas" Mr. D.O.G. ft. Cool Nutz, Kenny Mack
Johnathon C lays down a solid beat for this song, I'm feeling it. It takes a little while to get used to Mr. D.O.G.'s voice, but I like his style. Cool Nutz spits the better of the two though. Kenny Mack handles the hook nicely with his R&B style. A good song overall, I'm feeling it.

13) "First Time I Seent Her" Cool Nutz ft. Mac Dre, Phranchise
Torry Ward does the production for this song nicely. Mac Dre starts it off with an ok verse. Cool Nutz has the best verse of the three. I'm not feeling Phranchise at all, they sound like little kids on the mic. I'm not feeling this song besides Cool Nutz's verse and the beat.

14) "It's All Hip-Hop" E Dawg ft. Cool Nutz
Strange does the production for this song and lays down a catchy beat. E Dawg starts the album off and spits some coo raps. I like the lyrics he puts down, talking about what he wants to come back in life and hip-hop, he also does the hook with a coo spit. Cool Nutz holds his own too and spits a good verse. I'm feeling this song overall.

15) "Holla What's Up" DBA ft. Baby Bash, Frost, Jay Tee of N2Deep
Back to another Bosko beat for this song, I like the dark, slow feel to it. A coo collaboration for this song. I can't really say enough about this song, so I'll just say the verses are tight, the beat is clean and it bangs! A tight song to cruise the block to. I'm feeling it to the fullest.

16) "Ill" Cryciz ft. Cool Nutz
Cryciz does the production for this song, but I'm not feeling it at all. I don't really like much on this song, but the verses are alright. I think the beat really turns me off from this song. Not feeling this song at all.

17) "Way Back" Maniac Lok ft. D-Shot, Kenny Mack
Bosko handles the beat and the talk box for this last song. Maniac Lok, D-Shot and Kenny Mack come tight on this song. Some solid flows to finish the album with, a decent song, I like the beat and the talk box the most.

Overall this is a good compilation of songs from Jus Family Records. Cool Nutz did a good job assembling a collection of tight songs from various albums. I liked the production done mostly by Bosko a lot, Cool Nutz came hard on every song he was on and the rest of featured rappers held their own on the mic. There were really only about two or three songs that I didn't like at all, a majority of the album was tight. It's a good album to get a sense of where Jus Family and Cool Nutz are coming from. Definately get your hands on a copy of this album, I'm feeling it overall.

Overall Rating = 4/5
