Went to Amoeba yesterday to see Immortal Technique and in the meantime looked thru every rap cd i could. I had limited spending money, but i bought-

Khayree presents the Blackulation-7.99
South Central Cartel-"All Day Everday"-7.99 (which was labeled as OOP)
MC Breed "best of" dvd-2.99

Total Cost- 20.53

Overall score-9.5 + IT performing. That SCC album is unbelievable.



What did you buy? (Physical shit, not i bought a My Bloody Valentine EP (dope movie, gay band) for 9.99 on itunes.

^^^the performance was cool, IT's crew did a song before, then Tech did 4 songs, then an "encore". And he stayed and signed for everyone who wanted to get their shit signed, for free.

and Amoeba in SF used to kill it in the used rap section but that was when they had new and used separate sections. Their tape section SLAPPED for a while too. Now they try to condense Hip-Hop and a lot of great shit gets left out. I actually passed on a Skip Dog solo i had never seen before, new for 7 bucks. I also passed on a used copy of the OG C-Bo Gas Chamber album (it says "BOOTLEGGERS DIE FROM LEAD POISONING" on the back). Rasputins has stepped it up, i have to make a habit of going to those more often.

today on itunes i bought "dont lose your head" - zion i.

i bought the new tunnel runners cd with mars on it. i was going to order it but im glad i didnt because best buy had them. if i would have ordered it it probably still wouldnt have been here.

And on something we can agree on My Bloody Valentine is a really good (and underrated) movie. Sadly it is being remade by Lionsgate and will more then likely be butchered.

^^^oh im sure it'll be garbage. i actually saw My Bloody Valentine in theaters a few months ago; the ending is classic. And, im just playin around about the band, BUT did u buy that album on itunes?

I don't buy ANYTHING on Itunes, I have a Zune.

That being said I just spent $80.00 at my local independant record store on vinyl and CDs. I download more or less everything before I buy it to give it a listen though and if I like it enough (not none of this I like 3-4 songs out of 20 shit) then I'll swoop it up. Hell, I've spent $300 buying imported vinyl and CDs from Switzerland before. Trust me, I support bands/rappers/artists I like lol.

I own Loveless on both CD and LP.

i'm thinking of going to SF on sunday to check out a record store that i've been meaning to check out that's tucked away somewhere in north beach
