How come they never follow the story line of the song?! I find it disappointing when a sick ass rhyme is made and the video has nothing to do with the lyrics.

Take Kid Cudi's - Day N Nite for example, it took this video a year to come out after the single release!! I mean that was plenty of time to come up on something better than this!!

Maybe it's because I have an active imagination but I'm always picturing a something better than the music video itself. :ermm:

^^ I feel you on that, but I think the artist should have a little more direction when it comes to production of a vid. I liked the Puff Daddy videos back then, I'm not saying big budget is what has to be done but it would be nice if could see something with a little more substance.

Rappers aren't entertainers anymore, that's my belief. That art died out a long time ago and everyone is for self. The material needs in a video seem to outweigh truth and fun hip hop once had.

because real hip hop died in the mainstream. you cant make a story based video with a bunch of rappers talking about materialistic things and dumb dance routines.
