I've owned this CD for hella years but I own so many CD's that I go sometimes 2 years w/o playing them. Hell, I got CD's that aren't even out the original packadge yet.

I decided to throw on Music To Driveby today & even watched Hood Took Me Under video today & that shit is a true classic. It don't get much more gangsta then that CD. Eihts lyrics were real ghetto gang bang reality. That shit was hella real. Eiht was a true emcee.

I didn't buy the CD when it first dropped in fall of 92 but I remember going over my homies house who had the CD & he would play U's A Bitch over & over.

I asked him "why do u always play that same ol song all the time?" And he said cuz its the only good song on the CD. I asked him if the song with Scarface is tight(cuz I was/am a huge Face fan) & he said no. I didn't question it. Next time I come back over he was playing the same song over & over again. I was thinking "i ve heard CMW many times & I like their shit so I know he gotta have more good songs on this CD. I started skipping thru the CD & fell in love with it.

I also think its funny that on the Tim Dog diss he said "fuck South Bronx" & I never heard a response from Tim Dog, KRS-1, Fat Joe or anybody else. Eiht was gangsta for that shit.

Dude was hungry as fuck on that CD & it showed.

Eiht can't be the same rapper he was 15 years ago but I wish he would find DJ Slip, Mike T & do the damn thing again. His shit was more reality based then any rapper from Compton along with BGKO & Dresta. Not saying he was the best to come outta the CPT but reality wise only BG & Dresta came the closest.

Don't know. The New Season album he did with Lynch was cool. The collabos he did with Spice was terrible. I hated it when he sighned 2 Hoo Banging Records back in the day. That was a weak move IMO.

Definetly a classic. I remember buying it the first day it came out. The beat for "hood rat" is smooth and layed back as hell.

I dont even think someone could get this now for the first time, and even get how dope the shit was back in the day. The whole shit was hard and was so in tune with the times. My shit was N2 Deep w/Scarface. The first major West & South collabo.
