SO I was at GC peepin out the new Motif XS (which I ordered) when a couple hyphy kids came in and went straight for the Triton and started making the worst take on a hyphy beat I ever heard in my life. I aint never lied!
Of course it was on blast so I couldn't hear myself think and drove everyone out of the keyboard section, and gave me a massive headache.

So.. If you're one of them fools that go go GC all the time just to fuck around and never buy anything, please bring your headphones, and don't sit at the same board for an hour. Glad I was pretty much on my way out, but I swear this dude was really sequencing the worst shit I ever heard, and was really bobbin his dome like it was hot! If you just started making tracks, which is what this shit sounded like, chances are you're not that good, so be courteous to others and keep that shit to yourself for now, everybody in the store don't wanna hear that weak shit..

Brutes. Sorry to hear that, lol.

I love going to music stores and checking out the new lines, here we got Tom Lee Music and Long & McQuade, and a few smaller solid stores, but those two are the majors here, never any "annoying" people like that in them, mostly serious cats.

Peace.

nah man, you wouldn't have learned anything useful from this dude.
Shit was horrible! It was noise, stacked on top of more noise. Tht Triton has some decent shit in it, dude just had no ear for music. Out of key, timing was horrible etc.. I know everyone gotta learn and shit, but learn at home not at the store!!!

I went to GC one time and they had triton locked up cuz of the fucks. I was seriously considering buying the triton rack at the time and wanted to fuck with the triton but GC dude wouldn't let me because of all these teen bop chumps! Needless to say, I've never learned shit from a GC employee; they haven't a clue what they speak of, in my experience.

yeah the guy today was horrible, had no clue about the new Motif, was trying to sell me an ES rack, then he started making a beat on the mpc and moog lil phatty, I walked away and he didn't even notice! To top it off, his beat sucked too! I ended up ordering from americanmusical.com, no tax and free shipping. I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

I met this dude at GC here in San Diego. Cool dude, seemed to know his stuff. Said he interned with Raphael Saddiq for a while. He lookin for some work. Compared to my encounters with other employees at the same store...I'd put him at the top of the totem pole.

I can't stand going in the keyboard section and hearing some wack ass beat playing that some kid made, while the kid is jumpin all around thinking it's the hottest shit ever. Annoying as a mutha fucka but I can't knock it. I might find a little protege in there doing the same shit, but with actual talent.

I'll admit, I was fucking with the Access Virus synth though.

LOL @ this thread cuz it's true. Happens all the time at GC. My favorite GC rip off is when they supposedly have a sale but in reality it's the same damn price as it was previous to the fake "sale." For instance they are having a sale on the Akai MPD 24, which they claim retail is $499 and they cut the price $300 to $199. But yet on their website the price has always been $199.
