What's y'alls favorite movies about music or dealing with music. Or not necessarily your favorite, but which do you think were the best?

The 2 that stand out to me are Amadeus (seems like mostly fiction but it's about Mozart) and Purple Rain.

I've been wanting to watch more movies like this though. Help a brotha out

La Bamba is one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

Crossroads is off the hook but that crap is hard to find on DVD. I might just have to order that online.

Definitely The Doors & La Bamba. Both are great movies. I thought Sid & Nancy was pretty fucking good, although it was more about their personal lives as opposed to The Sex Pistols. And although I'm beyond my days of using drugs (for the most part), I think Pink Floyd The Wall must be considered.

Yeah, 8 Mile got better over time to me.

Anyone feelin Drumline though? Nick Cannon is hella gay but I loved that movie cause I hadn't seen a movie about a drumline and the music was tight for the most part
