whats good classified community, sellers, buyers,etc..whats your opinion on these issues? im no ultra serious collector, but i like my shit to be clean and i`ll take og copies when i can. im not too fond of these music club copies though and i realized i have about a dozen in my collection (all shit i bought from second hand spots like 10 years ago when i knew no better). So as im doing my research i saw a couple of people mention some bmg/crc things are considered rare? is this true? like the ones with no barcode and a D _ _ _ whatever code on them? anyway i have more to add on but the boss is coming around...

No it's not true. The title itself may be rare, but it's much less desirable due to the fact that it's a music club version. All music club version CD's have real non-music club CD's available. Just the title itself may be rare. If you plan on selling them, you should definitely mention that they are Club versions, because it may lead to a bad relationship if it's not disclosed. Most people can't stand them from a collectors point of view. Now if you're just a fan or a basic listener...that's another thing and you most likely don't give a hoot.

^^ no doubt, cool...and no im not a seller, never sold a cd in my life. if i would one day however, i would definitely take pictures of every angle, cover, side and let it be known. ive never been burnt like that before, but have heard stories. yeah im prolly gonna rebuy most of these, some i really dont care about. i`ll prolly end up just giving them away anyway.

Haha, I was just talking to my brother today about these cds. I told him that back in the day you could get 12 cds for 1 cent. ha..

IMO they're cds, I don't think collectors like them much....

Besides, BMG/Columbia didn't release much that was underground anyways - the cd's they did release were mass produced so it's not exactly like they're rares.. Not to mention the majority were censored versions.
