Murder Victim Dumped In Lobby Of Alhambra Hospital
Victim Was Shot In A Nearby Home, Suspects Arrested
ALHAMBRA, Calif. Investigators say a man whose body was left in the lobby of an Alhambra hospital had been shot in a nearby home.
A shooting occurred about 2:30 p.m. in the 700 block of South Garfield Avenue and the victim, 31-year-old Luciano Teavoro Brash of Los Angeles, was dropped off in the lobby of an Alhambra orthopedic center shortly after the crime, the sheriff's spokesman said.
Investigators believe Brash was shot in the home of suspect Sam Lock Sui before he and another man, Samuel Patrick Groft, left his body at the medical center.
Paramedics were called to the facility to treat Brash, but he died at the scene, authorities reported.
A surveillance tape showed two men believed to be Sui and Groft carrying brash into the hospital by the arms and legs and leaving him on the floor. MacArthur is describing the suspects' motive for leaving the body at the hospital as "complicated."
They left the scene in a white Infinity G35 with tinted windows, a sheriff's spokesman said.
Sui has been arrested and charged with murder. Sheriff's Sgt. Alec MacArthur says warrants have been issued for Groft and the suspected gunman, a man named Scott Kim.
