You shouldve started running or something like 3 weeks prior.
Mount Shasta sees many climbers annually attempt to make it to the summit. The summer climbing season runs from late April until October, although many attempts are made in the winter. The most popular route is Avalanche Gulch, also known as the John Muir Route. It begins at a Sierra Club cabin known as Horse Camp, at elevation 7,900 ft (2,400 m) on the southwest side of the mountain, near tree line. It involves 6,300 ft (1,900 m) of vertical gain over moraines and snowfields, with some danger from rockfall and a bergschrund.[3] Because Mount Shasta is a very popular mountain for climbers in the summertime, it sees many inexperienced climbers who become in need of rescue. Hiking trails also exist in areas around the base of the mountain.[3]

My dad has done it. He said it was easy as fuck for climbing a mountain. Only thing is the weather can change in a split second so keep aware of your surroundings.

MT. SHASTA is the shit homie... I know its a relatively easy climb for a mountain and all.. my girl did it when she was like 8 or sum shit with her parents.. but yea the weather up there is crazy.. the mt. creates its own weather patterns and draws clouds and shit to it.. its a beautiful place though.. clean air.. i love it up there man.. one of my favorite places in the world.. go check out LAKE SISQUO... take 89 EAST to MC CLOUD... theres some cool lake, river, resovouir spots out there... and if ur with people who arent into the whole climbing thing u can take a road from town to the base of the mtn.. its got a beutiful view.. and u'd be surpirsed how far up they actually let u drive.. you'll prolly start ur climb there..

u got me jealous motherfucker! Im gonna be stuck down here in LA, when ur gonna be in shasta this weekend.. god dammit...

I got back about a couple hours ago, and let me tell all of you, climbing this is no fuckin joke! I have never experienced so much fuckin pain in my life, carrying a 50 pound back pack for seven thousand feet is crazy. I'm also afraid of heights, so that made things even more interesting. I'm tired and I'm drunk, and happy to be alive.
