Overall Criminal came dope as fuck on this album, but theres only 4 tracks im gonna be bumpin on the regular being, Wannabes, Sounds of Summertime, How We Ride, and Dedicated 2 You. Alot of the beats had potential but just werent doin it for me. Yeah , im a talkbox junkie. I hate that fucking NB ridaz type tallkbox though that everyones jumpin on these days. I personally think Mr.Criminals first album is his best one.

its good, a lil bit overrated like when they said it would be album of the year & shit but its ok i like some of the tracks, it didnt beat jailbird like some people said it would.

^^^ I bump lots of knightowls shit, but Anonymousman, i hope you was talkin bout the beats and shit, cuz knightowl is horrible. Its his street credit that allows him to sell and still be a wack rapper. Mr.Criminal would lyrically MASSACRE knightowl.

Ok, Knightowl may be not be on the same lyrical level as Criminal, but IMO to say Mr. Knightowl is "horrible" is stretching it a bit . . . If he were horrible, then he would be unlistenable and you wouldn't be bumping his music (like Johnny Crack! <--- sheer sonic agony).

if street cred helps knightowl sell alot of albums then mr criminal should be selling more because he's closer to LA and there's more population around his area. Let's face it, you think knightowl is whack but if you ask the majority of people that listen to chicano rap they will tell you he is better than mr criminal. How many albums does criminal have? 2?? i used to have the one where he has a blue dodgers jersey and it fucking sucked i dont know why people expected something alot better on the sounds of crime album, lyrically knightowl will take the whole hi-power label out. I'm not saying hi power sucks but they're not all that great.

^^^ By using the words "FUCK" AND "FUCKING" in every bar, rhyming the same words in every song "felon, melon" and many others (im not willing to throw in my knightowl cds right now) if you consider that good lyricism, thats your choice. OK, like homeboy said, maybe i went too far sayin "horrible". If i listen to any knightowl tracks from the bald headed felon album, or anything after that album, its because of the beat. Compare his voice and flow from the first 4 albums to the shit that came out after 2001, whats up with all the screaming and soundin like he has some shit in his throat? Yes Knightowl has more albums, hes been releasin shit since 1995. Criminals debut was in 2001, and it was actually supposed to be his demo. Criminal is in his early 20's and knightowl is in his early 40's. About knightowl bein able to take out hi-power lyrically, well he could probably take out most, but mr criminal and malow mac would definitely get the win. Bottom line, im not mad at ya homie, we all have different tastes and views. Peace.

KNIGHTOWL FIRST CD'S WERE CLASSIC'S I CANT TAKE NOTHING AWAY FROM HIM .. AND HAS MADE SOME CLASSIC JAMZ BROWN TO THE BONE/HERE COMES THE KNIGHTOWL..AND TILL THIS DAY I STILL PICK UP HIS ALBUMS ..BUT TO SAY JAILBIRD IS BETTER THEN SOUNDS OF CRIME IS A NO NO .....

Call me an idiot, but i dont know how to put up songs, and what tracks u gonna put up,"you best not double cross me", "fuck royal t", "punk bitch", or that track he did on the Dr.Dre beat, look theyre all cool tracks but take Mr. Criminals track "ride on these vatos" where he disses conejo, capone, maddglock even a quick line or two about nortenos. You can find it sur side riders vol.2 i think. Theres another one thats pretty tight where criminal disses snapper but i dont have it. Second of all, why does it have to be a diss track? Why cant it be a cruzing track, or a track for the hynas or just one reppin the hood? The "im a lobster, youre a shrimp" lines aint doin it for me.
