MPC 1000 / MPC question ???

does anyone with a MPC1000 (or any MPC) know how to make the sounds bend, when you're using the pitch bend on a MIDI controller ???

in the effects parameters, there should be something that makes that pitch bend act as a modulation wheel

i dont fuck wit productiong, i'm asking the question for someone else. and we receieved 2 different stories. 1 person from Akai told my friend that it would work, and when he called back another said that it won't work for the MPC1000.

he's now usin the MPC200XL, and it still aint workin wit it.

Try what YoungMoe suggested. If that doesn't work then it's not going to. The sample engine in the MPC is very basic because the MPC itself is meant to be a drum machine/midi sequencer, not a hardware sampler. Which typically means no modulating in real-time.

i got A mpc 2000xl and it does not allow you to bend the internal sounds(sounds on the mpc). however, if you're using the mpc as a midi sequencer and you want to bend a sound from an external sound module or keyboard it will do that.
