Altered states is a trippy ass movie.
I agree with one flew over the cuckoo's nest and Clockwork Orange. When I first saw the movie, The setting took place pretty much around the year I first saw it.(the movie was based in the future. I just recently read the book, you get used to the slang they use after a while, you just have to figure out what they mean by how they use in it a sentence.

The movie is tight as hell. Its about a man, Jack Nicholson, who pretends he is crazy in order to spend his remaining prison time in a mental hospital. I suggest you watch it.
