This thread will help us go out to blockbuster to rent some good movies.

this movie is dope if you like intoxicating violence. i think this film is one of my best film in my collection. Wayne Kramer, the director of the movie is on a whole different planet on this one. the credit at the end was the most original thing i ever seen.

when you see it, please give a feedback

Running Scared is sick as fuck. Definitely one I'm gonna eventually pick up. Although I was pretty disappointed when their was a review on the cover that said it made Kill Bill look like Sesame Street. It was a pretty brutal movies but I wouldn't go that far.

I highly recommend The Da Vinci Code. I've heard a lot of bad things about Tom Hanks in this movie but I thought he was flawless.

A Scanner Darkly is kind of like a dark comedy with a thought provoking plot line. It's done in a crazy animation... it's basically set in the near future, there are 2 types of people: People who are on Drugs and people who are against drugs. The drug focused on in the movie is called "Substance D", it's not a real life drug, it's created for the movie. The D is extremely addictive, you're either addicted to it, or you've never tried it. There are undercover agents that are distributed through out the communities to try and stop the drug from reaching further into the communities. During the movie, you'll start to question whether or not you're drugs... if you are on drugs, you'll probably have an entirely different set of questions. The movie is great.

The Machinist

Trevor Reznik is a lathe-operator who suffers from insomnia and hasn't slept in a year. Slowly, he begins to doubt his sanity as increasingly bizarre things start happening at work and at home. Haunted by a deformed co-worker who no one seems to think exists, and an ongoing stream of indecipherable Post-It notes he keeps finding on his fridge, he attempts to investigate what appears to be a mysterious plot against him and, in the process, embroils two women in his madness.
Great fucking movie.

Oldboy

An average man is kidnapped and imprisoned in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation. He then is released, equipped with money, a cellphone and expensive clothes. As he strives to explain his imprisonment and get his revenge, he soon finds out that not only his kidnapper has still plans for him, but that those plans will serve as the even worse finale to 15 years of imprisonment.
Crazy fucking Chinese flick. Highly recommended.

Suicide Club

54 high school girls throw themselves in front of a subway train. This appears to be only the beginning of a string of suicides around the country. Does the new all-girl group Desert have anything to do with it? Detective Kuroda tries to find the answer, which isn't as simple as one could hope.
This another dope ass foreign flick, this time from Japan. It's part of trilogy with the second one, Noriko's Dinner Table, just being released in 2006. I haven't seen the second one yet but I have heard good things about it. But Suicide Club is crazy and gory as fuck.

The original British The Wicker Man is a dope fucking flick. The remake was garbage IMO.

I still have yet to see Talladega Nights. I'm not the biggest Will Ferrell fan (I like him in bit parts but not the whole movie) but his new one called Stranger Than Fiction is pretty good. It's a comedy/drama kind of like how The True Man Show was.

Little Miss Sunshine and The Departed are my two favorite US released movies this year. Even though The Departed is a remake of a Chinese movie called Infernal Affairs.
