What is it with movies all following the same trend. Zooming in hella close during the best fighting scenes, shaking up the camera like crazy so I don't know WTF is going on.

Panning in all crazy directions, giving me motion sickness

Are the directors really getting that cheap that have to do some weird ass camera tricks to keep my attention, trying to make me feel like I'M IN THE MOVIE type deal!?

DOES ANYBODY NOTICE HOW BLU RAY FILMS LOOK TOO REAL? LIKE SO REAL THAT IT LOOKS FAKE, ESPECIALLY WITH CGI, YOU CAN SEE TOO MUCH DETAIL AND U KNOW ITS FAKE, AND THE VERY AKWARD CAMERA MOTION THAT GOES WITH IT? OR IS IT JUST ME?

yeah i hate those handheld camera movies..blair witch, cloverfield, quarantine

makes u all dizzy
those are shot in first person, they're supposed to be shaky. thats the point. If you're getting chased by a monster the size of a sky scraper or being terrorized by the blair witch, are you really gonna give a fuck how steady you holdin the camera?

if it's jumbling around like someone is walking they're using what's called a "Steady Cam" more than likely...it's a brace type deal you can wear and you mount a camera on it to keep it somewhat steady....

otherwise...it's for dramatic effect......in action movies it works well soemtimes, but the movie makers over do that shit way too often.....

like indrid cold said....if a monster is chasin you, you aint' holdin that camera steady....

i've filmed a lot of shit, did a public access show and a show for the college i went to....i HATE shakey filming.....and it's not hard to avoid in all reality, you just gotta be payin attention to not moving the camera all over.
