Yeah I liked it, it's confusing tho, makes you think, and makes you go "whoa." I was lost as fuck, someone who seen this has to know what the fuck happened at the end.

It was pretty confusing. The whole group you saw at the end is a combat unit with no existence, which means no one knows about them. They set up the sting on the two guys who were trafficing drugs (the one who died in the hospital and the one who was having the shootout with the guy at the beginning carrying the other guy on his shoulder). They had a hunch someone higher up in the military was shipping the drugs through. That was how Travolta's character caught the guy, by tricking him. At the end, their job was all done and they lived happily ever after. No one died, they guy that was being interrogated gave false stories because he did not want to draw attention to his whole unit (Jackson's charter, Diggs character, Travolta's character). He wanted to make it seem like all of them died so no one would go looking for them and find out who they really were because then word would get out about the secret drug-busting unit. She figured it out when the guy being interrogated used the same phrase that Travolta's character used. I hope that clarified it. Damn A.D.D. kids can't follow any movies anymore. :)

lol, fuck you Adam. Yea I knew about all of that but what I didn't get was what kinda group was section 8? So what's suppose to happen after she found out about the group? And what did it mean that they were offering her a job as colonel? Are they asking her to join section 8?

I think that's how they get people to join it. If you are smart enough to figure out about the group, then you get in. If you don't want to join, they have Will Smith come in and erase your memory with that device or just kill you. Something like that. Section 8 was pretty much just a very undercover group of military agents used for the most difficult and extreme undercover missions. I hope that answers it. For some reason, the movie "Basic" is not so basic.

There wasn't a secret drug busting unit. They were all in on it. They were all making money off of the drugs. lol. Speaking of ADD.

I'm lost, too. The group at the end were good guys, not bad guys. But everyone interprets movies in different ways, so you can be correct, too.

If you want to watch a hard-to-follow movie, watch Oliver Stone's JFK. You can't take your focus off it for one second or you will miss something important. Great movie.

The group at the end of the movie killed off those guys to take over they're drug operation. They talk about getting rich, not doing the right thing. Bad guys, not good. I can see how it's confusing, but I got it the first time I watched it. If you're still unsure, watch it with the director's commentary.
