Most Monotonous Game Series

Which game series kept packaging the same game with a few new features and marketed it as new?

Edit; FF's main offenses come from remakes, I'm sure by now there are over a dozen version of the first one on different platforms, none except maybe the gameboy's being necessary imo. Also their formula has gotten very stale, at least for me.

Dynasty Warriors. I think I played the first 4 games and it always felt the same. Just a simple hack n slash. I don't play Madden so I can't comment on that. And I think Final Fantasy does make new games for the most part with new storylines, new weapons, spells, and battle systems which make up a big part of the gameplay.

I would normally SAY Madden, but it doesn't change...because football doesn't change. Its a continuous thing that does not morph to the point of not being anything other than football.

Unless, of course, you count the continues pussifcation of PI calls.

Of the ones listed, I would have to go with Dynasty Warriors. It literally is the exact same game every installment.

dynasty warriors was the 1st game to come to mind. it was fun the 1st 2 times, but goddamn, the series needs to end!!

also, i cant say for sure because i havent played the most recent ones, but-- the smackdown series.

Finally after about 6 years DW tried something a bit different with Strikeforce though...but then again, DW adds more features than Madden every release, so....

I'd have to say Dynasty Warriors. Even when they change it up and do the Gundam versions it's still the same garbage over and over.

And for Final Fantasy they all play different. What is common to all of them (for the most part) is a "Cid" character, chocobos, phoenix down and some type of Bahamut. But the story, campaign gameplay, etc it's all different.

Definitely Madden or any other sports game that comes out every year with minor changes including roster changes. They've been crappin on their consumers for years and it pisses me off. Now you gotta pay to play online on top of the fee you pay already to microsoft? GAY
