Has anyone ever watched a real fractal?

I'm not talking about a picture like above, I'm talking about the never ending fractal program. It's very hard to come by a good fractal program on the net for free.

HERE is a simple program (A freeware 32-bit program written in Visual C++ to generate fractals in 24 bit color mode) that allows you to draw a square in a certain section of a fractal picture and then "zoom." If you do it correctly, you will see how it will continue for infinity. Now imagine if it wasn't frame by frame, a constant moving fractal.

It's all mathematics.

You can get into some real fucking interesting fractals.

xn+1 = sin(a yn) - cos(b xn)
yn+1 = sin(c xn) - cos(d yn)

They are everywhere!

You, Me, Life, our galaxy, the universe, Existance...Just a fuckin fractal!

It goes on and on and on and on

"Many people are immediately drawn to the bizarrely beautiful images known as fractals. Extending beyond the typical perception of mathematics as a body of sterile formulas, fractal geometry mixes art with mathematics to demonstrate that equations are more than just a collection of numbers. With fractal geometry we can visually model much of what we witness in nature, the most recognized being coastlines and mountains. Fractals are used to model soil erosion and to analyze seismic patterns as well. But beyond potential applications for describing complex natural patterns, with their visual beauty fractals can help alter students' beliefs that mathematics is dry and inaccessible and may help to motivate mathematical discovery in the classroom."

^^^ah, some goa is garbage. Infected Mushroom is another you might like.

Fractals are geometric shapes that are very complex and infinitely detailed. You can zoom in on a section and it will have just as much detail as the whole fractal. They are recursively defined and small sections of them are similar to large ones. One way to think of fractals for a function f(x) is to consider x, f(x), f(f(x)), f(f(f(x))), f(f(f(f(x)))), etc. Fractals are related to chaos because they are complex systems that have definite properties.

"For want of a nail, the shoe was lost;
For want of a shoe, the horse was lost;
For want of a horse, the rider was lost;
For want of a rider, a message was lost;
For want of a message the battle was lost;
For want of a battle, the kingdom was lost!"

Small variations in initial conditions result in huge, dynamic transformations in concluding events. That is to say that there was no nail, and, therefore, the kingdom was lost. The graphs of what seem to be identical, dynamic systems appear to diverge as time goes on until all resemblance disappears.

No, it was the summer of 98 in Seattle. They were the only reason I was convinced to go too. They did show up and threw a great show...tossing xtc in the crowd. It was great :lick:

Do you want to improve the world?
I dont think it can be done.

The world is sacred.
It can't be improved.
If you tamper with it you will ruin it.
If you treat it like an object, you'll lose it.

There is a time for being ahead,
a time for being behind;
a time for being in motion,
a time for being at rest;
a time for being vigorus,
a time for being exhausted;
a time for being safe,
a time for being in danger.

The Master sees things as they are,
without trying to control them.
She lets them go their own way,
and resides at the center of the circle.

2-0-Sixx impressive post!! I never talked to you much or anything but it seems like you got some cool opinions/thoughts, I can relate on a lot of aspects. I'm a big fan of electronic music (about as much as rap) and I watched the vid, known about it for a while. It's great. SHPONGLE fucking rocks too... hell yeah...

& that tutorial video is cool but i want me a TIGHT ass fractal video or program now... a real one...
