Bangin On Wax, here's my review that appears on barnesandnoble.com..

A reviewer (Vamps[email protected]), 19 from Los Angeles, April 4, 2000

Nothing New
This was an average book, if that. I enjoyed the accurate description of the mindset of a gangbanger, but that gets old quickly. 95% of the book talks about his 'missions' and 'putting in work', and that was cool, but I wanted something more at the end. He didn't offer any new insights in response to the problem of so many people getting caught up in gangs, or even a revised sense of life and death. At most this book is average, it lacked strong, concise writing, and the conclusion was poor. The best parts are going along as he kills countless people without a second thought. If you want something more than just a story of death via a sawed-off shotgun, read something else.

(I guess you were right, I couldn't understand it.)

My bad ya'll I was just in shock somebody thought the book wasnt the modern Malcolm X autobiography of our generation. But it's cool you did a good review I agree with on some parts. Thanks

kody isn't a rapper dogg he's almost 40 haha. They were gonna do a movie about him but he was in jail at the time so they did it on his bro Lil Monsta it's called "Eight Tray Gangster: The Making Of A Crip". Here's an article that came out 3 years ago in the LA Weekly about him & his bro.

Ghetto Star
'Monster' Kody Scott and the Culture of Ornament
