FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. -- A 43-year-old woman is accused of having sex with a 12-year-old friend of her son.
Patricia Ann Serrano, of Fountain Valley, is charged with three felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14.
On two occasions in October 2011, the defendant is accused of having sex with the 12-year-old boy in her home and in a car, prosecutors say..
The victim's mother discovered Serrano alone in room with her son.
She did not observe any sexual contact, but became suspicious of Serrano’s relationship with her son and reported it to the police.
Serrano is being held on $100,000 bail.
If convicted, she faces a maximum of 12 years in state prison.
