A Santa Rosa woman was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of drunken driving and felony child endangerment after flipping her vehicle on Laughlin Road, ejecting herself and two of her children.

Christian M. Galvan, 23, was arrested at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where she was taken after the 6 p.m. rollover that caused a “horrific impact,” according to the CHP.

Galvan was eastbound at a high rate of speed on Laughlin Road south of the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport when her white Chevy Tahoe left the roadway. It hit the guardrail, snapping the wooden posts at their base and twisting the metal barrier away from the roadway and into a large loop above the ditch beside the road.

The vehicle traveled about 350 feet before coming to a rest on its mangled wheels partially in a ditch next to rows of grapevines.

Galvan was ejected and landed in the road. Her two daughters, ages 4 and 6, also were thrown from the big SUV. One was found in the ditch and the other in a grassy area near the grapevines.

Galvan's 2-year-old son was found strapped into a carseat in the vehicle.

The 4-year-old girl was airlifted to Oakland Children's Hospital. The two other children were with Galvan at Santa Rosa Memorial.

None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening, the CHP said late Tuesday.

Laughlin Road was littered with broken glass and debris from the vehicle. Children's books and CDs were scattered where the battered SUV came to a rest. A stroller lay in the grass at the rear of the vehicle.
“For a parent, if in fact they are intoxicated, to get in a vehicle with their children, you bring in child endangerment,” said CHP Sgt. Bob Barr.

Galvan had to be driving at a “high rate of speed” for the large vehicle to have sustained “such a horrific impact,” Barr said.

“It's most definitely a DUI investigation at this point,” he said.

THIS SHIT IS FUCKIN CRAZY. I KNOW CHRISTIAN IM JUST PRAYING THAT SHE AND HER KIDS ARE ALL ALRIGHT. MY HOMIE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL WITH HER SISTER AND IT'S NOT LOOKIN TOO GOOD RIGHT NOW, SHE HAS INJURIES TO THE NECK, THEY THINK IT MAY BE BROKEN. WE KNOW IT'S A DUI ACCIDENT, BEST CASE SCENARIO IS SHE WILL BE GOING TO PRISON, PROBABLY FOR A LONG TIME.

THIS IS A REALLY BAD SITUATION RIGHT NOW, BEFORE I EVEN THINK ABOUT MY OPINIONS ON THE WHOLE THING IM JUST REALLY HOPING TO HEAR SOME GOOD NEWS ABOUT HER AND HER BABIES, I'M PRAYING THAT THEY ALL PULL THROUGH. THE PICTURES ARE REALLY HARD TO LOOK AT.

im going to withhold my true feelings comment and say get well, TO THE KIDS!
I think after my 15 year post yesterday, most of you know how I feel about the situation. I was going to say what I think, but I won't.

I hope those babies pull through, though.

Sad thing is, she probably won't do much time. She'll do a few months, pay some fines, go to some classes, and maybe do it again...but the next time, she might actually kill somebody.

My best wishes are with the KIDS. The mother? Well, she should be locked up. Fuck a fine and some classes, if it happens to go that route (which it probably will). Any parent who deliberately puts their children in harms way shouldn't have custody of them.

no way that's gonna happen; she's definitely gonna be behind bars for a few years. that's a give in.

taking out 20 ft of guardrail and everyone was ejected besides the 2yo? so thankful no one died, damn.
YEA SHE'S FACING SOME SERIOUS TIME RIGHT NOW, I REALLY, REALLY DOUBT THEY WILL LET HER OFF WITH JUST CLASSES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

IMO THE EASIEST THEY WILL GO ON HER IS TO HAVE HER DO TIME IN JAIL INSTEAD OF PRISON. THE REASON I SAY THAT IS BECAUSE I FOUND OUT THAT SHE DOSENT REMEMBER ANY OF WHAT HAPPENED. THE COURT AINT GONNA GO EASY ON HER AT ALL

damn, I hope the kids pull through.

your homegirl is a piece of shit for putting her kids & everyone elses kids at risk though.
ALL GOOD, I KNEW PEOPLE WOULD BE SAYING STUFF LIKE THIS WHEN I POSTED THIS THREAD, OR I WOULDNT HAVE POSTED IT. BUT U KNOW WHAT, I CANT EVEN DEFEND HER. THE SHIT SHE DID WASN'T COOL AT ALL. IT'S JUST CRAZY WHEN U KNOW THE PERSON, ESPECIALLY SOMEBODY U WOULD NEVER EXPECT TO DO SOMETHIN LIKE THAT, U KNO?

BUT ANYWAYS... THE KIDS R GOOD. THE GIRL THAT GOT FLOWN TO OAKLAND HAS SOME PRETTY DEEP LACERATIONS ON HER BUT NOT LIFE-THREATENING. THE OTHER KIDS ARE PRETTY BANGED UP AND GOIN THROUGH THE WORST TIME OF THEIR LIFE, BUT PHYSICALLY THEYRE OK. MOM HAS A BROKEN BONE IN HER NECK THATS ALL I KNOW.

THANK GOD THA KIDS ARE OK AND IT IS A FUCKIN MIRACLE THAT EVERYBODY SURVIVED THAT WRECK.
