Minnesota Looking To Take Love?
May 27, 2008 - 5:36 pm
Draft Express -
Timberwolves' General Manager Kevin McHale is looking at taking UCLA freshman Kevin Love with the third pick in next month's NBA Draft, according to DraftExpress.com.

Numerous sources with ties to Minnesota confirmed that McHale's favorite prospect is Love although some would consider him a reach that early in the draft.

There are also rumors that the Wolves could look to trade the pick for veteran talent. [READ]

Love won't drop to 14. I'm sure he'll be a top 10 pick.

he isn't all that athletic, but the kid can shoot, rebound and perfect for a half court team. Unless the Warriors change their style of play- I don't see Love fitting in at all.

If Love fell to the Warriors that would be the best thing that could happen to them. That means they would be trading up for Minny's #3 pick cause thats Kevin McHale's favorite guy.

Love is going in the lottery.

If Darrell Arthur from Kansas is there at 14, we gotta go with him.

I also really like Mario Chalmers from Kansas as well for a backup PG, Dubs need to trade to get a late first rounder in order to get him.

Shit I like Rush too, no wonder Kansas won lol.

Rush could be a combo guard/forward, hes 6' 6", isnt that small, could put on some more weight, and he could be a great midrange shooter. No doubt about it, he reminds me of paul pierce (and looks like a mix of him and terrance howard). anyway, id like to get arthur first, but i see him drafted before the warriors can get him.

rush is 6'8", some say that his game reminds them of pippen. i think the warriors would be smart to package their 2nd round pick with pietrus (sign and trade) and move back into the first round and take love or alexander, arthurr or someone else if they slip and then come back and take rush with our 2nd first round pick. he would be able to sub in for al harrington or stephen jackson. and hes a proven winner and team player. something we could always use. and yes k-love would be tight, he would be what webber should of been this year.

rush is 6'6", and yes Rush would thrive in the warriors style of play. He is at his best when in transition and his defense is top notch, perimeter defense is what stands out the most with him. plus, his jumper is one of the best in this draft too.

If it was me makin' the warriors pick this season and rush is sitting there, I would draft him seriously. Im a Kansas fan yes, but when i've seen him play 99% of his playing time at Kansas these past years and have always been a fan of Nelson's style of play dating back to the TMC days....I know a good fit when i see one.
