I've read MLB 08: The Show is getting better reviews.

For example, IGN has 2K8 7.4 and MLB08: The show 8.7 People are saying in has the best career mode out of any baseball game.

Haven't peeped either yet myself though...
the career mode is what i got drawn into last time. its dope and from what i have read its only got better

just another game to slowly make my transition to my ps3

seems to be alot of that going around...

Nothing I can do about it unfortunately...

For some reason, I am labeled as the mod, but no longer have any mod abilities... not that I ever used them anyways, the only moderation I have ever done on this board was making a couple threads Vital, but it would be nice if I was able to organize the forum a little better, get rid of repeat threads, and all of that...

On Topic: Is the demo for this up yet?

I downloaded and played the demo last night and thought it was pretty sick for a baseball game (i'm not into baseball at all). The demo is a 6 inning game so I couldn't get into any of the other stuff.

The crazy thing to me (but maybe this is common in baseball games?) is the presentation of the game. Everything felt like you were watching a real game on tv. The commentary flowed so smoothly and always had interesting/relevant stuff to say, it was actually pretty amazing. Completely the opposite to all previous Madden or NBA games that I'm used to where the comments are forced, sloppy and mostly irrelevant. Also, the players reactions to situations seemed spot on. If you fucked up, like dived for a ball and missed it, they'd show a close up of the player and he'd be pissed or maybe embarrassed. If you strike out and your a big hitter, you might get pissed off and throw the bat or slam it in the dirt or throw it in the dugout, etc.

The replays are also just like on TV and again, the comments are really good. One play the computer hit a ground ball and it should have been an easy out but instead of throwing it to first base I accidentally threw it to home plate, so they showed the reply and the commentator, "and here you can see a great grab, perfect throw to the catcher....only problem, theres nobody home! what a bonehead play! I mean, what was this guy thinking? This has to go down as one of the most idiotic plays we've ever seen!"

Shit like that makes the game really good. I'm might have to pick this game up even though I don't like baseball.
