im not really a mixtape fan, but if its an artist or artists im familiar with and support im gonna be pickin it up. i dont kno if artists who are chargin and dont really have a name yet is tha right way to go about it.

just my opinion

lovin tha hustle comin from Cane, Arsen, and that camp...they are doin it real nice

still waitin on that Platinum Bound mixtape and tha one comin from UTR, notes, YV, etc tho!

Mixtapes are like the poor mans compilation now. They're a fad now. I went to bed monday night and by tuesday morning, every mutha fucka on planet had a mixtape coming out. Just knowing that made me lose interest. Then again I never bought them in the first place so...

I kinda feel the same way, it seems like ever since 50 cent got big and he was puttin out mixtapes, seems like eveyone else wants to do the same thing....No one was doin them it seems like before 50

I've never really been into the mixtapes and whatnot......but now I think it's gettin' rediculous. Everywhere I look.....somebody is TRYING to do one. But the cold part about it is......WHERE THE FUCK IS THE "MIX"??? All they amount to is some cats rappin' over some well known artists instrumentals - HOW THE FUCK IS THAT A MIXTAPE? There ain't even a DJ involved.......:rolleyes: ......the FADS that people follow and then don't even do right. I'll never understand it.

Anywayz......I think they're all a bunch of fuckin' gimmiks now. I don't even want to hear that shit. And if I hear one more person trying to spit over a 50 fuckin' Cent instrumental.....I'm going to write a letter to my congressman...lol.

i think that they are good for free promo, if there is no dj on it then i guess it shouldnt be a mix-tape, but if a rapper or rappers wanna keep their name out there then i think that this is a good idea, cuz its cheaper then a real cd so you can just hand them out for free. plus i think its all for fun and you get to rap over some tight ass industry beats.....BTW apex of the sun "not a mixtape" mixtape coming soon......lol
