How are they going to have the SD music awards and hardly nobody has even heard of it? As far as who was nominated, I could understand Mithy, but are the icons really making much noise? when was the last time tony da skitzo put something out and I never heard of the rest. The problem is that the people who put this shit on don't know who has a buzz in the streets. Thats where it counts-the streets. The get behind these square ass backpack rappers and try to say that they represent Dago hip hop. If you go to any other city, it's all about who has a buzz in the streets. If you shit aint at Fam Mart or don't sell at Fam Mart, then you aint got no buzz. Fam Mart is the capitol of Dago music. I know Dago is more than just the ghetto or Southeast, but you have to crack in the ghetto in order to be legit. Thats in any city! Have they ever acknowledged Cricet or Steve Vicious or Ecay Uno or Black Mickey or Gangsta Ern? Does anybody even go to this shit. Who even cares if aint no money involved?

I feel you Plex. I haven't heard of any of them other dudes. The Icons are cool. I was on their last album, but I don't think they're movin' a lot of units. I'm at the point homey where shit like this doesn't even bother me anymore, cuz I know what I'm doin'. Shit, to be brutally HONEST, I've sold more than 99% of the blac rappers, in Fam Bam, and the streets. Shit maybe 100% in REAL sells, without the lies, like the muthafuccas we talked about the other day Plex (that comp). You're doin' your thang tho' my nig, and you're always grittin' and grindin', and you probably sold more than niggaz who people think are more known than you. It's a couple that I know for a fact you've sold more than, while they're shit is just sittin' on the shelves at Fam Bam (98% of these niggaz haven't even sold 1000 units, and that's a FACT, but they'll lie and say they did). That's the truth my nig, and a lot of times HONESTY offends the liars, cuz they automatically think you're talkin' about them, and then they tell on theirselves by gettin' offended. Those awards are put together by squares. They should go to Fam Bam, and get the nominees based on sells from all the music spots. Who are them other weirdos?

MOST PEOPLE AROUND HERE WOULD SAY THAT THEYRE ARE A GANG OF COVER/TRIBUTE BANDS AND THINK ITS JUST THEM WHO BARELY EVEN MAKE A BUZZ AROUND HERE. ANOTHER THING IVE BEEN NOTICING ARE THAT A LOT OF CONCERTS THEY PUT OUT AND PROMATE ARE MOSTLY MAINSTREAM AND PLAYED OUT ARTISTS AND BANDS YOU ALWAYS SEE ON MTV AND SHIT AND THE MAJORITY OF RAPPERS AND RAP GROUPS THEY PROMOTE ENTIRELY THE WHOLE CITY ARE FROM NEW YORK AND THE MIDWEST AND SOMETIMES THE SOUTH ABOUT MOSTLY ARTISTS FROM THE ATL, THE NO, AND ST LOUIS MAKE A LOT OF NOISE WHEN THEY COME DOWN HERE. MAN, IM REALLY JEALOUS OF THE BAY CUZ ALL OF THEM RAPPERS UP THERE ALWAYS THROW THE BEST SHOWS THERE, YOU KNOW WHAT IM SAYIN, AND IM TALKIN ABOUT THE BBQ AND THEYRE GONNA HAVE IT UP THERE AND THEY ALWAYS GONNA PUT THAT DOWN UP THERE. this shit comes on public access or ch4 cuz i ran into it last year...like Plex said its not really representative of the hip hop scene in SD its mainly the groups that are aligned with the the local media(SD Reader and City Beat and FOX Rox) those publications and tv shows and they are all about that organic rock and backpacker rap
