FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
MIstah F.A.B. "Ghost Rides" MTV, shows YouTube how it's really done!
New York, NY, Febuary 7, 2007 – With questions swirling around the industry as to whether or not Oakland, CA rapper Mistah F.A.B.'s video for "Ghost Ride It" would make it to the small screen, On Jan 29th a cleverly edited version of the "instructional" video debuted on all of MTV's music outlets
(MTVJams Jam Of The Week, MTV2's Unleashed, MTV.com, Vh1.com and added @ MTVU ).
When the Hyphy Movement broke nationally in 2006 a facet of it called "ghost riding the whip" took the nation and YouTube by storm inspiring some of the most unlikey candidates to attempt the stunt. The Thizz Nation posterboy and Atlantic records' newest signee became the center of attention when reports of two isolated incidents resulting in death hit the news.
National media quickly put Mistah F.A.B. under fire for promoting this dangerous act since the song and video serve as a "how to" for Ghost riding but F.A.B. is quick to clear up that it was never intended for mass consumption. "Before I made the song this was going on. This video was made for my region strictly because of MySpace and YouTube," says F.A.B. "We paid for it out of our own pocket. And then it just started to explode so we ran with it."
The video in its all it Ghost riding glory can be viewed on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7YSCRWAjDU
OVER 350,000 views and growing
Mistah F.A.B. is currently in the studio wrapping up his Faeva Afta/Thizz/ Atlantic Records debut due out this summer.
