A question to the minorities on the board. How do you feel about minority involvement within law enforcement? Do you feel minorities that are involved with law enforcement are sellouts or do you feel they are needed?

Do any white people here feel law enforcement has too many minorities? Do you feel some minorities are getting these law enforcement jobs just because of skin color?

No, I dont feel the law enforcement has too many minorities, but than again, I hate all cops of all color. The police force, by nature, is an oppressive organization which functions to enforce oppressive laws, protect the property of the ruling class and to enforce the policies of the Republican and Democratic parties.

I have zero respect for any police officer, white, black, brown, yellow or any other color.

I estimate that 95% of the cops I have ever seen in my life have been white, so thats a big NO to your first question. Of course I could be terribly wrong here. I mean, I don't remember every cop I've ever seen; but every cop that I've had a run-in with has been white, this much is certain.

I really don't think PD's adhere to Afirmative Action when employing new recruits. If you have the interest/desire, and the right tools, as well as a clean record, chances are you're going to get the job. You can't be forced to hire a black man to uphold the law, just because of AA, if he is incompetant. This sort of relates to the NFL. Owners are required to interview black coaches, but they can actually hire anyone they want.

I BELIEVE THAT IN THEORY IT'S SUPPOSED TO HAVE PEOPLE OF OUR KIND TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITIES. BUT IN REALITY, N-E-BODY IN THE SYSTEM IS DOIN' THE SYSTEMS DIRTY WORK AND AT THE END OF THE DAY, THE REASON THEY BECAME COPS IS IRRELEVANT. THEY TURN INTO SOME BIg-HEADED, SELF-RIgHTEOUS MONSTERS, THAT WILL DO MORE WRONg THAN A WHITE POLICE IN THE SENSE THAT THEY WANNA PROVE THEMSELVES WORTHY. THEY ONLY PUPPETS.

Most of the cops I've dealt with are white. Maybe a couple minorities, but very very few. And no, I dont' think minority police officers get the job because of skin color. You have to pass the academy or whatever, so I would assume there is some sort of minimum standard.

2-0-Sixx...I agree with you, but I wouldn't say I hate them. Most of them really don't get it-they have no idea they are puppets, which is why it works.

EDJ...I agree with you too. They are doing the dirty work and some of them do it to prove their "worth" but people make mistakes. I'm sure most police officers have no idea about the stuff we all collectively know on here. They aren't the type of people that generally look into these types of subjects-the philisophical conversations, social and economic etc...They are simpletons. They want to succeed and they can do that only by conforming to the system, in turn they sell out to live the "american dream" which is a crock of shit anyway.

very true..if you go to a place like stlouis all the cops are black but if you go to some small hick town there mostly white.It does seem that black cops are more laid back and will let you go for things.Theres some things i should of been arrested for but because the cop was black and cool he just let me go.If it was a white cop my ass would of been in jail.

what about someone that joins the police because they see the corruption and want to make a difference? Doesnt it make more sense to try and make a change than to just complain about the police and say "fuck em"? Maybe the police and the community need more people like you to join them, but then again thier selection process would probably eliminate you right away...

i don't think minorities in the police force are a bad thing at all, i don't care who works there. they could be ALL minorities for all i care... i have an open mind and generally speaking i think the police force would do damn near the same job whether they were all white, all blacc, or all fuccin' ethiopian. i'd look at a blacc officer or a mexican officer tha EXACT same way i'd look at a white officer.

I feel what you're saying about they becoming puppets. Someone could have the best of intentions and may even treat people with respect on a daily basis as a police officer, but what it all comes down to is you are still doing the devils dirty work...
