I got this error last night while using soulseek. Totally shuts down soulseek, stops downloads, you lose all your current searches, etc.

Has anyone encountered this before with soulseek or any other programs?

Anyone have a fix for this or know how I can trouble shoot and then fix this?

Running on XP Pro
Only programs up at the time were Itunes, Soulseek, and NOD32 antivirus in the system tray.

Soulseek > SICCNESSGEE's life

I don't remember if I had the same error pop up as you but it was pretty much doing the same thing. As soon as I opened it up and clicked on something it would freeze for like 10 minutes then kick me off.

I tried everything I even had a friend that's a computer whizz come over and do a bunch of shit that I didn't understand. What it was though was me and Smurf used to trade crazy amounts of music all at once. I would be getting like 1000 files off him and he would do the same. Well after I tried everything else I finally figured this could be it. So I sent him a PM to take off everything that was qued up. After he did that it started working again. It was weird though because we had been sharing files like that for a while.

I don't know if this will help, and even if it does what are the chances you know the person you're sharing files with. I was lucky, cause I could just send him a :siccness:PM. Good luck dude.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. Did it to me again right away.

I did a google search cuz normally that turns up a fix for me, but the only stuff I could find was from several years ago and there was never really a solution given that I could see.

Soul seek is the shit.

But Soul seek on the most part is an unstable program.

In lamens you can't stop it from those critical errors, sometimes searches will be to general and kill the program, but it should reset the program coding upon restart

Have you reloaded Java runtime? Look and are if there's a newer version.

What XP you have? I suggest down grading to sp1, it is more solid IMO
