I saw this dude's fight late last night on Top Rank Boxing....

He was fighting some mexican cat and let him have it pretty good.

I think they fought at 135?

Anyway the fight was from last year. Dude looked pretty solid.

anyone know about this guy?

he's pretty decent but needs to step it up a bit.

he was actually one of the guys who was to fight marquez in july but I guess marquez wants to fight a bum in Mexico instead (he turned down judah, gesta, Brandon Rios, abril, etc).

I saw him fight live on the Rios vs. Abril undercard. He's young and has decent speed, he's a southpaw. I definitely liked what I saw, that fight is on youtube also I think ( against Cruz). I read somewhere that Michael Koncz brought him over to the states along with some other Filipino boxers in hopes of grooming the next paquiao. He fights on August 3 against Ty Barnett on ESPN. FNF. His biggest test to date.

I'm a fan.

Dude is a hype job until he fights and beats someone that's good. Pretty good power and alright skills but he hasn't fought anyone yet.

props to mercito on the win last night dude trains outta SD been to my gym a couple times to spar with a couple of our pro boxers love the way he let's his hands go and he gots a nasty uppercut... he just called out broner he deserves a big name with that record bob arum is sleeping on putting together a great filipino card for the fans imagine manny, nonito & mercito on the same card?

Broner vs. Gesta is the closes we will get to Mayweather vs. Manny. Make it happen. I have Broner by KO if it happens but we all know about Top Rank vs. Golden Boy.
