does any body got Menace on Laser Disc.i remember it came out as the directors cut with additional scenes..........and i assume that if i happen to find someone who own a Laser Disc,you cant transfer it to DVD huh?

I have the Criterion Collection Laser Disc. The deleted scenes are Harolds Funeral (Kane's cousin) and A scene with Stacy and Sharif (not sure on the spelling), they show up to the grandparents house after kane gets outta jail and their talkin' with his grandparents about moving and that they want kane to go with them. There is also a trailer on this laser disc which shows the crackhead gettin' punched in the face by A-wax as well as the police questioning stacy, and Jada Pinkett after the final drive-by and O-Dog is gettin' loaded into a cop car. The scenes aeren't added back into the movie, they're on a seperate section.

This is also the NC-17 version of the movie so the scenes with the gun play are extended, A LOT bloodier (final drive-by and where O-Dog, Wax, and Kane go and jack the fools up that killed Harold).

I don't really know anything about laser to DVD transfer. I don't even have a laser disc player anymore, just a few laser discs. I transferred it once to VHS and added the deleted scenes in for a friend of mine. It turned out very good.

The way DVD's are nowdays they'll release this on DVD once the regular DVD sales drop... Fuckin assholes re-release a special edition of everything and make me buy it twice...

My uncle has a laser disc player and there are a few people at the local audio place that are offering him big bucks for it. We are trying to figure out exactly why anyone would want it so bad? Anyone know what they put in those things that would get someone so eager to part with big bucks for it.

yea it sucks that they do that shit. they did that shit with goodfellas, casino, scarface, etc.

They just did it with The Big Lebowski this week too... I already bought that Goodfellas and Scarface... And I had to re-buy Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Reservoir Dogs & King of New York cuz they put out better ones...

They did it with Boyz N The Hood, Fast Times at Ridgemont High & Clerks too... I still didn't buy Sin City cuz I know they're still gonna make a new one... Fuck I hate that shit. There's probably like 10 DVD's I bought twice.
