1st Recipe# Chow Mein

What to buy:

1 lb boneless breast chicken.
2 heads of Broccoli.
4 Packs of Top Ramen.

seasons you need:

2 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 of fresh garlic.
oyster sauce
soy sauce
4 tbsp flour
1 cup of water

Preparation:

1st: Boil water for the top ramen(remember: jus use the noodles).
2nd: get some garlic and mash it.
3rd: cut up the chicken the way how you like it... bite size...
4th: cut up the broccoli in pieces.
5th: 1 cup of Warm water/4 tbsp of flour/ stir it...

Okay, its not hard yall! For the 1st time... Lets start with the noodles being crunchy.

You boiling the noodles. When its finished. seperate the water out.

Turn on your top oven Medium/Hot...
Get a small 6 inch boiling pot. Put like, 1 inch of oil in the pot. When you think its hot enough to cook the noodles.
You put enough noodles in the oil, where you can spread around the pot. If not, Put some more in there. Use a beautiful untensil like a big fork. Use that to make a chow mein(circle shape crunchy noodles).
P.S. when you put the noodles in hot oil(jus remember medium/hot), you be okay!!!, don't be scared and be careful, you don't wanna hurt yourself.
While its frying, you notice the noodles will be cooked, a light brown color. Thats when you know that the chow mein is done. Hard and crunchy circle shape...

Start doing another one for you/ friend/girlfriend/boyfriend/family or whatever.

Last Thing, the sause...

Have a 12 inch pan, that can hold alot of sauce/brocolli/& chicken.. that type of pan.

cook temperature Med/Hot
Put 2 tbsp oil on pan.
the mash garlic/ let it fry until light brown.
put in the prepare bite-sized bone-less chichen
stir and marinate it with garlic /oil ummmmmm......
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Clue for the oyster sauce. Jus put it on top of the chicken all around, dont put to much, that it be to saulty, jus relax.... Don't have to be perfect!!!
Soy Sauce- same thing like the Oyster Sauce step:

While its cooking, Stir it, show off to your friends that you know how to cook. You have to have good self-esteem about yourself, ""Remember, you are the best like "Chef Chen Battle."

mix the cup of water/ flour in the sauce. What that do is, it thickens the favorite sauce.

When thats done: Put the Broccolli last. Stir it/Marinate it w/ that sauce. Have a cover(I prefer glass cover, so that you can see your delicate cuisine.

Your done!

Prepare your dish:
Put the circle shape chow mein on a plate.
Marinate your sauce/chicken/broccolli over your noodles while its hot.

Say a prayer with your friends... Amen.. Chow Mein.. Sonny Bonoho Presidential Cuisine.

Man yall don't want me to get started up in here!! I got family recipes for days and being that Im Italian, Native, Puerto Rican, Philipino & Black you know my people's laced me!!! Peep this:

4 Slices of smoked bacon
2 Ibs. lean pork (Cut into cubes)
1 & a half chopped onion
2 Large cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tsp. dried oregano
1 forth Tsp. ground Cumin
1 quart chicken broth
1 14 & a half ounce cans of hominy (drained)
6 Ancho chilies
2 10 ounce cans of corn kernels (drained)<--It can go without!

Now, in a large pan ( I perfer CastIron pans) heat on medium and fry bacon until it is crisp; Remove the bacon and pour off all but 2 or 3 Tbsp. of bacon fat then add the pork to the pan and cook it until it is brown. Add the unions and garlic and cook until the onion is tender.....Then in a large pot add the pork, onions & garlic along with the bacon (crumble it first), chili powder, oregano, cumin, chicken broth and drained hominy; bring to a boil.
Wash dried Ancho chili pods, remove the stems and the seeds....then add them to the pot...Let this simmer for about 2 or 3 hours (my grandma noted the slower you cook it the better) if it starts to get too thick and you need liquid try adding a little chicken broth.....If you would like you can serve this with flour tortillas or you can eat it like it is............you may also add corn to it if you would like.....(I perfer without)..

If this thread keeps going I got hella recipes!!! If you make this you have to tell me how it turned out.....I am a straight cook! ...lol...

Just one more! And I highly recommend you try this! This is the shit!!!

1 Tbsp margarine
1 & a half cups of onion (sliced not chopped)
1 to 2 Tsp. curry powder
1 pkg (1Ib) unthawed fish fillets (haddock, halibut or sole) I perfer halibut.
1 large apple, cored & thinly sliced (best with red apple)
1 can (8 1/4 oz) tomatoes.....drained
1 half Tsp. salt (you may add more)
1 eighth Tsp. parsley
1 half sliced green pepper (or red)
And shrimp (Use as much as you want)
2 Tbsp. Chardonnay (*Yes it's wine!*)

Add the margarine to a large skillet (CastIron perfered & make sure you have a lit for this pan. Now saute the onions until they are soft. After about 5 minutes add the curry powder, Chardonnay and the shrimp and cook for about 5 minutes stirring it often. (Do not cook this very fast.....the slower you cook the better it is) Now, cut the fish into about 1-inch strips and add to the bottom of the pan. Now add the onions, green or red pepper, apples, tomatoes, salt and pepper ontop of the fish. Cook this over medium heat "COVERED" for about 10 minutes. When it is finished you may sprinkle it with parsley......This can be served with many different things......This is a tight dish though!!!

here's one of my favorites.

Carne Guisada-

Ingredients:
Flank Steak (You can use roast, or any type of beef you prefer, cut into bit size pieces)
Ground Cumin
Garlic Powder
Cilantro (fresh)
Salt/Pepper
Flour or Corn Tortillas (if you wanna make taquitos)
Flour/Water (for gravy)

1. Season the meat

2. Turn the stove on HIGH and put a little oil in the pan (any kind you want to use is fine, I usually use corn oil or vegetable oil)

3. Throw the beef in the pan and let it brown. Once its gets a brownish color, turn the heat down to medium and fill the pan about half way with water.

4. Let it simmer until fully cooked (whole process takes about 30 minutes or so)

5. Once the meat is done, remove it from the pan, leaving the juices in the pan.

6. Combine water and flour (i think the ratio is 1/4 cup flour : 3/4 cup water)

7. Add to the pan and turn the heat up. mix it well to insure there's no lumps. Bring it to a boil.

8. After the gravy is finished, add the meat back into the pan and let it mix in with the gravy for a few minutes.

9. If you're gonna make taquitos, heat up the tortillas in a seperate skillet.

Serve with refried beans and rice.

and there you have it. Carne Guisada.
